Penelope took a small step back, almost unwillingly. "Sure. My studio apartment. This way." She turned and limped quickly toward her apartment.

Peter sat down at a small table outside a cafe` and opened his phone, reading his texts.

Thomas followed, "Come on, Samantha." he said, looking back at the girl who was staring at a bird's nest.

"Yes, Thomas." she said, scampering after him. She darted past him, then slowed so she was walking next to Penelope, "So... anybody else live with ya?" she asked out of mere boredom.

Penelope laughed. "My crazy brother Peter. He doesn't see or hear ghosts. But he believes in them. I'm teaching him how to see and hear them."

Peter returned to the apartment and took a shower. He sprawled out on the couch in nothing but jeans, no shirt, and his hair was still wet.

"Ah.. cool." Sam grinned, "Crazy is.. or was.. my profile." she said, "I used to run around my house screaming... until I was locked in my room for a week." she said still grinning, "I was little, I couldn't help myself." she shrugged. "When I was fifteen..." she said, "I got terribly sick, and I couldn't eat." she shook her head, "I ended up dying on my seventeenth birthday from starvation."

Thomas sighed, walking behind the two girls, "So, Peter, what's he like.. literally?" he asked, wanting to know more about Penelope's brother.

Penelope reached out and patted Sam's shoulder comfortingly. "Well..he's..there are no words." She replied, laughing as she unlocked the door to her apartment.

Peter stood and grinned. "Hey." He called. "Who's your friend?"

Thomas smiled, "Friends, actually. Samantha's a ghost." he said, gesturing to the place where Sam was standing.

"No words. Literally." she said with a smile, looking Peter up and down.
