Jessie shuddered a bit, horrifying memories of the night the blood-thirsty beast had attacked flashed through her already-paranoid mind.

Wonderful. Now she'd have more nightmares.

"My family's gone, too." She said, so quiet it was more to herself than anyone else.

"But I've got auntie Gwen-She may not know how to turn a computer on, but she's my family."

Jessie disappeared up the stairs.

Phoenix walked over to Cassie, a worried look on his face. "You okay, Cassie?" He wrapped his arms around her, trying to make her feel better. "I know it's tough thinking about your family sometimes. Mine abandoned me. Then Ryan's dad was killed in the war, so it's been tough."

Trinity couldn't remember the feeling of family. "Maybe we should grow one here!" she suggested noticing how almost no one had family.

Cassie leaned her head against Phoenix glad for the comfort. She had no words of comfort, her mind on other things. The war. She thought when he mentioned it again. She nodded in agreement to what Trinity said while thinking of a plan to get the infomation out of him. I have got to ask him about the war! She didn't want to leave the kitchen it felt rude to leave Trinity alone but she was dying of curiousity. (Lol I have to say this! Curiousity killed ht ecat xD Yep, had t say it )

"You're like twitching. It's like you're arguing with yourself." Phoenix laughed, confused. "Is there something you want to say? I won't run away." He kept standing there curiously. "We'll all be family here."

Cassie looked up at him, hesitating for a moment tryin to decide on the wording before asking, "What was the war? You keep talking about it. How bad it was, who died. All this but I have never heard about it."

"Y-You don't want to know." Phoenix stepped back, his head down. "It was awful. I'm not even sure if you'd survive if I told you. The hunters might come after us." He shook his head, trying to keep the tears from flowing down his face.

Cassie could tell he was on the verge of tears but her words were already out before she could shove them into the back of her mind. "Why was it so bad?" She couldn't stop now, her curiousity would kill her before the hunters, who ever they were, could get their hands on her.

Trinity stepped out felling like this was a private time.

"I can't. I'm sorry." He lifted up his shirt slightly, showing her the beginning of scars. "It would disgust you. We were tortured. I was one of the lucky ones."

Ryan turned back into a human, sitting at the beach. It sure is pretty here. He thought, grinnning.
