(Careful there, pal.
You`re getting awfully close to powerplay...roleplaying someone`s character for them.)
The black dragon snarled as she turned invisible, but wasn`t all too bothered--her scent, and the scent of her blood, told him where she was. Black Solan unfolded his crimson-webbed wings and took to the air to gain a respite from her furious attack; his eyes remained on the ground, searching...and there it was.
Whyspr`s shadow. The she-dragon might have been unseeable, but she couldn`t disguise her shadow so easily. Grinning again in savage delight, the great Black darted forwards, swift for his size, raking a claw through the air above the shadow in an attempt to throw her to the ground. It would be all too easy to destroy her, but he always enjoyed playing with his victims. A few minutes of making her scream with pain wouldn`t do any harm. The rents in his scales her first few attacks had made had closed already, proof of the black blood`s abilities.
And yet...as he made to go after her, to tear her wings asunder and rip away her scales, a voice quite different from Whyspr`s stopped him.
//Leave her alone.//
Baring his massive fangs in anger, Black Solan landed, crimson eyes narrowed at an enemy that wasn`t the invisible she-drake. /Why? You want the same as I do...her blood. Just changing form into a dragon doesn`t alter that, Solan,/ he snarled back.
//Let her go! Haven`t you done enough?// The mental voice slammed against the dark dragon`s consciousness with a force that made him sink his talons into the ground.
/Like she`ll trust you ever again after this. Very well...you win. But your precious /friend/ is already lost to you./ Black Solan growled one last barbed taunt and retreated, leaving the massive dragon`s scales to fade back to white, his eyes changed to sky-blue once more.
Exhausted, Solan let the dragonform slip away--he was too tired to maintain it any longer. His humanform would do for now. The dragon-turned human sank to the ground, his back to a bloodied oak, and turned his gaze to where Whyspr`s ice-and-wind scent was the strongest, waiting for the inevitable.
