Nate watched her, seeing nothing but sadness etched in her face. He felt sorrow for both girls, one his girlfriend, the other, a good friend of his. Seeing Jessie still on her phone, he gave her a questioning look, but her back was to them, and he looked back to Sam, putting a arm gently around her. "You okay, Sam?" he asked softly, as she seemed deep in thought.

Nate's lips moved into a half smile. "Okay, that's good." he said, then looked up at the sky, the blue hue of the summer sky seemingly reflecting the handsome blue of his eyes. He then looked back, moving his head into a natural postion, before sliding his gaze to Sam, giving her shoulders a comforting squeeze with the arm around them.
