She sounded so afraid. Arron bit his lip, frantically looking for a weak spot in the cage. The ground shook again, and the prison shuttered. Arron didn't miss his chance; as the cage shook he pushed against it. He gritted his teeth from the effort, trying to break the prison apart. "Come on. . . just a little. . ." The prison snapped, and the entire thing broke. Arron was free. As it broke, the ground shook again. Something knocked the breath out of him, and the light became blinding. . .
Arron's eyes flew open. He looked down at himself-he was still a panther. He looked over at Arlais, who looked terrified. Somebody had come for her. In the blink of an eye, Arron was on his feet, growling furiously.
