I might not be able to post for a while, recently had some surgery and need to rest

Amber shook her head and slowly got to her feet, leaning back against a tree for support. "It's fine..." she murmured. "I'm still glad I did it." she told him with a soft smile as she took a cautious step forward. Her legs buckled beneath her and she fell forward, catching herself on his shoulders and falling into his arms. She blushed hard. "S-sorry!" she stammered nervously.

Damon sighed softly as she didn't seem to be furious with him. "Deal." he smirked. Then he leaned back against a tree and looked at her curiously. "Are you feeling better after that vampire hunter encounter?" he asked curiously. He'd never been hurt as a vampire... he usually lived alone so there wasn't really anything to be afraid of.

"Well.. thank you then. I'd probably be dead if it wasn't for you." Taylor said with a small smile, watching her. "Whoa, careful." He gasped catching her as she fell forwards. "It's alright." He said, "Don't worry about it." He added. "I think you should just stick with sitting for now," He said with a small chuckle. "Rest is probably the best thing for you, we've all had a long day." He noted looking at her.

"I've had worse." Lydia answered, she twisted her leg in such an angle as if she was studying the wound.. although there wasn't much of a wound left. It has stopped bleeding long ago, and it seemed to have almost healed now. "I've dealt with them before.. it get's pretty annoying after a while. I've come close to death several times because of them." She sighed, "Never let them take you away alive. If it means being staked to avoid it, so be it."

Amber nodded slowly, her eyes still wide as her face flushed bright red. "I'm just... not really sure where I should go. I don't think I should rest out here when I'm so weak." she murmured quietly, still holding herself up using his shoulders because she couldn't stand on her own.

Damon looked at her curiously, watching her examine her leg. "Why don't you let them take you?" he asked, wondering what could possibly be worse than being killed. With a stake no less. He ran his hand through his short brown hair, his golden eyes regarding her in confusion.

Taylor looked at her at nodded, before he raised his eyebrows in surprise. "You haven't got a home?" He asked giving her a concerned look. "You've just been wondering around the forest alone?" He asked, "Even I have a home.. You could rest there if you like. It's not much but at least you'll be safe."

"Why don't you let them take you?" Lydia echoed, shocked he'd ask that. "They're vampire slayers, they're trained to kill us." She reminded him. "Let them take you and they lock you in a cell, starve you of blood- you go crazy. They then use you for their own entertainment, putting you in a cage with another vampire.. watching you tear each other apart for blood."

Amber looked a little uncomfortable and then sighed quietly. "I've spent the last few weeks just about dead... I didn't really have time to worry about resting. I needed to find something to drink." she murmured. "Is it really okay if I rest at your house?" she asked quietly, looking up at him, her golden eyes wide.

Damon shuddered at the thought. "I know that they are supposed to kill us... I just didn't know about the blood deprivation part." he grimaced. Then he looked at her curiously. "How many times have you fought a slayer?" he asked softly. "I never have... that's why I didn't know." he explained.

"Right.. You told me that, I forgot sorry." Taylor said sighing with a nod. "Sure it's okay, I mean if you want to. It's just a small place but it's a place for you to sleep. I've got blood bags there too, from the hospital. It's not as good as fresh blood, but it works."

"They torture you too.. trust me you'd rather be staked then go with them." Lydia said, shaking her head. "How many times? Oh.. lots I suppose. They're always after me. Once they've caught you once, and you escape.. they never stop coming after you until you're dead."

Amber nodded her head slowly. "That sounds nice..." she murmured quietly. "Would you mind leading the way?" she asked with a little bit of a smirk. She stepped back and tried supporting her own way and managed to stand without his help but her legs were still a little shaky.

Damon's eyes widened. "They... they caught you before? That's how you know?" he asked softly. That would explain why she was such a strong fighter... he definitely hadn't seen that coming. He would never had guessed that she used to live in such an environment.

Taylor smiled then nodded, he turned to walk away befor he turned back around to look at her. "Are you okay to walk?" He asked her, "You could barely stand a moment okay." He pointed out. "Well.. I don't think it's that long of a ways anyways." He said.

Lydia pressed her lips together in a tight line, glancing at the ground for a moment before she nodded. "Yeah, that's how I know. They caught me, twice. It's hell." She sighed. "There was no way, no way I'd be alive if I didn't teach myself to fight."

Amber took a step and her knees nearly buckled beneath her again but she just took a few breaths and kept trying, the exhaustion and pain showing clearly on her face. "How else am I supposed to get there?" she sighed. She put a hand to her chest where the werewolf had scratched her. It certainly made it hard to breathe. She groaned quietly before taking a couple more steps, her eyes glassy as she finally made it to stand beside him.

Damon's eyes softened and he walked behind her to massage her shoulders gently. "I'm sorry..." he murmured. "And here I've been going on about my life." he sighed, realizing he had been being selfish. His hands were warm on her shoulders as he tried to relax her a little bit. She seemed a little nervous.
