Taylor came back, sitting beside Amber giving her a worried look. "Yeah, but I wish you hadn't." He responded frowning, "Look at you. You're in worse condition than me." He sad holding out his wrist it was cracked, swollen, bleeding, broken, and ugly pain seemed to be living within it.

Lydia blinked looking down at Damon as he grabbed her arm, "I'm coming with you." She said nodding slightly. "But it's probably best to get these two to safety.. away from the wolf." She added glancing between Taylor and Amber.

Amber gave a weak and not very reassuring smile. "I'll be alright..." she murmured. She lifted her arm weakly and traced over the tears in her shirt, feeling her hot blood as it drained out. "I'm not afraid..." she muttered. "I think my dad would be proud of me..." she told him quietly, closing her eyes again to rest.

Damon shook his head, his eyes dark with anger now. "We have to go right away..." he hissed again. "The sooner I get away from her, the better. She can't recognize me!" he whispered to Lydia, his voice urgent.

Amber opened her eyes again weakly and glanced over at Damon when he hissed. He looked oddly familiar... then the realization hit her and tears started to roll silently down her face. "That's him... he was my boyfriend... he changed me... he left me... he lied to me." she whimpered, her body aching as she started to cry louder. She had thought that he loved her... he had been the first person she had actually loved... and the only person who had loved her.

"Hey, whoa. Come on, stay awake keep your eyes open." Taylor said in a frantic voice at the tiredness in her voice. He frowned not liking the idea that it was possible death could be creeping up on her.

Lydia looked at Damon, with a confused look on her face. "What? What do you mean that she can't recognize you?" She asked, tilting her head to the side out of confusion.

"That's him? That's the guy?" asked Taylor, glaring towards Damon. He couldn't help but feeling anger towards Damon, he growled forcing himself to ignore the pain in his wrist and lunged for Damon.

Lydia also shot a small glare towards Damon, not liking the sound of Amber's words. "Hey, whoa. Calm down, your wounds are only going to get worse," She said in a soft voice crouching in font of Amber. "You need to-" she cut off as Taylor lunged for Damon, "You need to rest... what's going on?

Amber whimpered quietly again and stopped crying. She managed to roll over on her side and curled up into a ball, ignoring the pain in her chest. A blank look was on her face. Then when Taylor lunged at Damon, her eyes widened. "Don't hurt him!" she begged Taylor, her eyes afraid. "He's a waste of your time." she muttered, slowly trying to sit up. She winced and moaned quietly. "Oh gosh this hurts..." she hissed, twisting her face up in pain again. Eventually, she settled for having a depressed look on her face.

Damon didn't looked at Amber, his eyes dark. "She was a human... I was stupid. I just wanted her for her blood." he grumbled. "Once I bit her, I realized I didn't need her anymore. So I left..." he murmured. "I regret it but... I never really loved her." he explained.

Amber glared at Damon, her face livid now. "Whatever!" she shouted. "That's what everyone has always done! Say they love me and then throw me away like trash! My own parents abandoned me at the orphanage when I was an infant!" she snapped at him, her eyes dark again. She looked away from him and back to the ground.

"She was just a human?" Taylor hissed frowning slightly. "We were all just humans!" He said.

Lydia couldn't help but frown at Damon's words, "You don't do that, you don't pretend to love a human. Yes we all use them for blood.. You don't turn a human and expect them to figure out how to live on their on, they need to be taught." She said narrowing her eyes and standing back up. "That's awful- no that's cruel and cold hearted."

"Whoa you okay?" Taylor suddenly asked his eyes snapping towards Amber, "I think you need some more blood to heal you.. you're not looking to good." He said although he wasn't looking to great either, but his pain seemed to have numbed.

Amber growled deep in her throat. "What's the point?" she muttered.

Damon frowned. "I know... I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do to change what I did... I said I was stupid too." he murmured. He sighed and slit his wrist with his teeth. He walked over to Amber. "Drink." he ordered her.

Amber shook her head. "I don't want to. There's no point anymore." she grumbled. Then a small breeze blew the scent of his blood toward her and she couldn't help herself. She slowly started to drink the blood from his wrist and then she started to speed up. It was the most amazing blood she had ever tasted...

Eventually, Damon had to pull away when his wrist healed up. "I had a thought... it's because my venom is what changed you. So my DNA is in your blood." he smirked a little.

Amber sighed quietly and laid back down, feeling well rested. "Thanks..." she muttered half-heartedly. She knew that he didn't deserve a thanks... but she gave it to him anyway. She looked over at Taylor, exhausted, and gave a weak smile as the sharp pain in her chest began to ebb. She wasn't sure if that meant that she was dying or if it meant that she was healing. She didn't really want to find out.

"Stupid.." Taylor muttered shaking his head slightly, "Well you've got that right."

Lydia smirked at Taylor's comment, "Let me see you wrist.

"No," Taylor said bluntly.

"Yes," Lydia answered, grabbing his wrist anyways. Taylor cringed as she grabbed his wrist, frowning as she examined it. "What did you do to it?"

"Werewolf bit it," Taylor shrugged before her frowned again and looked at Amber, "Your saying thanks? To him?" He asked shocked not thinking Damon deserved a thanks, not even the slightest. Lydia frowned slightly as he said a werewolf bit him, she didn't say anything as she dropped his wrist. "It'll heal." Taylor shrugged.

Amber sighed softly. "I know..." she murmured to Taylor. "I can't help it." she muttered, closing her eyes again to relax. She rested one hand on her chest and traced over the claw marks. "He did save our lives... if he hadn't I would've unleashed all of hell on him." she grumbled.

Damon frowned and shook his head. "I'd better go..." he murmured as he started off into the bushes. He should've known that his secret would come out sooner or later. Unfortunately, it had to be sooner. He thought about what Amber had said... that her parents had abandoned her at the orphanage. That made him feel even worse.

Amber bit her lip slightly as she sat up. She looked over at Taylor sadly. "Sorry about your wrist..." she murmured. "That was my fault." she sighed.

"You can't help it.." Taylor scoffed sighing. "I still wouldn't thank him.. he's an a*shole." He said looking down at her. He sighed and shrugged, glancing to his wrist again. "Nah, it's fine- don't worry about it." He said shrugging again, "There's not much pain anymore.. it kinda numbed. I'm sure once I have some more blood I'll be fine." He smiled, staying confident.

Lydia gave Taylor a curious glance, wondering why he wasn't have any of the symptoms after being bit by a werewolf that she read about. She ignored it deciding it was a good thing. "Ah, I better be on my way too." She nodded, "Keep yourself safe.. and away from werewolves." She added before she turned and began to leave. She seemed to have a destined place on her mind, the graveyard.

Amber pulled herself to her feet and quickly fell back. A tree was behind her though so she just leaned against it. "I'm glad you're feeling better." she murmured, her face looking exhausted. She looked up at him slightly and gave a soft smile. "You were going to go after him... why?" she asked curiously. Did he really do it for her?

Damon growled quietly and lept back up into his tree, looking down at the ground. It had been bad luck that he had run into his old girlfriend. He hadn't even meant to change her and everyone still blamed him... when vampires kiss each other's necks, sometimes the temptation is too strong and they end up drinking from each other's necks. That way, blood is going in and out of their bodies at the same time. He hadn't been able to resist... he had treated her like she was a vampire like him. He had kind of liked her... but mostly just for her blood. It was wasted though once she had started to turn.
