"No," Taylor answered straightening up, "I don't kill my own kind." He said realized she was a vampire by her eye colour. He was much too new to be able to be able to tell another vampire by it's scent. "You're really new aren't you?" He asked, "Like newer than me."

Lydia looked down at Damon, pulling her mouth away from the human's neck to speak. "I never said I would share." She said narrowing her eyes by the slightest bit, "I don't believe it is that hard to catch your own meal." She added whiping the blood from her mouth with the back of her hand.

Amber squeezed her eyes shut still, trying not to breathe. "A few weeks..." she told him quietly, resting her head on the ground weakly. "I haven't had anything to drink either..." she muttered. "That's why I'm like this..." she mumbled. She bit down hard on her lip again until it started bleeding and she licked the blood off of it until it healed again. Like before, it did nothing to help. "There's nothing around here... I've been hunting all day everyday..." she sighed.

Damon smirked a little and watched her eat. "I don't think it's necessary for me to waste another human... I don't need that much to survive. It would be wasteful for me to kill someone and hardly drain any of their blood." he told her. "So this is the way I hunt. But usually others aren't so happy about it... so I get two meals. You on the other hand, seem calmer about it than them." he mused, watching her curiously.

"Ah," Taylor responded with a small nod, he had been a vampire for almost a month. He looked down at her before straightening up and holding out a hand as if to offer to help her up. "Animals are easiest prey to tide one over until they've found a human," He explained making an effort to ignore the burning that still lived within his throat. "Haven't you thought of going after a deer or a small animal? They don't taste excellent.. but it's blood." He shrugged, "Anyhow it appears you need blood much more than I do. I'll help you catch something." He offered.

"Mmm, well I've been a vampire long enough to learn to stay calm around other vampires.. saves me from doing something I'd regret." Lydia replied, dropping the limp and bloodless human. "Hm, maybe it would be necessary to waste another human. Leave it for those who haven't developed any hunting and or hunting skills." She added, kicking the human with her foot frowning slightly.

Amber eyed him distrustfully and then took his hand, using it to pull herself to her feet. "I've tried..." she murmured. "The first week though, I didn't know what was wrong... then I accidentally cut myself and I really what I'd become... After that, I tried NOT to hunt. But that was stupid." she muttered. Then her face lit up slightly. "You'd really help me?" she smiled gratefully.

Damon smirked a little. "I suppose that would have been nice for me to do... but I'm not always that thoughtful unfortunately." he mused, his voice like silk. His light gold eyes flashed as he looked around curiously. "I haven't seen another of my kind here in a long time... have you seen anyone else?" he asked curiously. Usually, no one came near his woods.

"I know how you feel," Taylor told her honestly, "I used to be like that too. It'll get easier.. I suppose hunting comes natural to most vampires, I've never really met any so I'm not totally sure." He shrugged slightly. He then looke at her and nodded, "Sure."

"It seems like it would be the respectful thing to do for your kind." Lydia said shrugging slightly, "Don't help other vampires out it makes us look weak because more will die off from slayers, then werewolves will think they have the upper hand." She added. "I have. A vampire here and there, lots of animals.. And slayers."

Amber smirked a little. "I'm glad I'm not the only incompetent one!" she teased, her black eyes flashing playfully. Then she winced again as a gust of wind blew past them, blowing his scent towards her and sending her hair flying back away from her neck to reveal countless scars where she had been bitten. She growled quietly, pulling her hair back in front of her shoulders so it cascaded in front of her neck again. "So where do we start?" she asked curiously.

Damon pursed his lips thoughtfully. "Weird..." he muttered. His eyebrows furrowed slightly. "I haven't seen anyone in a long time other than the usual humans..." he told her. "I'm glad that I finally found another one of my kind though... It's been quite awhile since I've had a decent conversation." he chuckled softly, his musical laugh coming effortlessly. He eyed her curiously. "What's your story?" he asked. He always felt intrigued about what other vampires had gone through.

Taylor chuckled, smirking slightly. Although his small laugh was cut off when he spotted the scars, he didnt really find them hard to miss. "Whoa.. you've been bitten.. a lot." He murmured, although he dropped it guessing it wouldn't be something she would want to talk about. "Well, where do you think we should hunt?"

"Maybe you just need to get out more." Lydia suggested, shrugging. "Ah, let's see.." She began leaning against a tree. "I suppose it kinda begins where my dad came home drunk one night, he went crazy and killed my mom and brother. He later killed himself if jail. I lived with my aunt and uncle until I was about sixteen, and I eventually decided to run away. I lived in a homeless shelter for a year, and soon I decided I wanted to go home.. but I left at night. I suppose you can figure out the rest." She said there were obvious gaps in the story missing but she just put out the main stuff, "You?"

Amber looked a little uncomfortable. "That's what you get for dating a vampire." she muttered. "He never told me... and then he left afterwards." she grumbled, glaring at the ground. Then she seemed to get shaken out of her mood and looked around curiously. "I don't know..." she sighed. She listened carefully around them and then managed to pick up the sound of branches cracking. It was something big... maybe a bear? It was caught in a trap... she could tell by the scent of blood. "There's something big that's already hurt..." she murmured. She started walking towards the smell, stopping every now and then to make sure he was following.

Damon sighed softly. "Close to the same thing... a vampire broke into my house... killed my mom, dad, and sister. Then I tried to kill myself and he ended up smelling the blood and came back to finish me off... but he must've gotten his thirst dealt with cause he couldn't drink anymore." he told her. "Lucky me..." he growled quietly.

"You were never able to pick up that he didn't eat properly? Unusual pale skin?" asked Taylor, "But I suppose I learned the hard way too, so I shouldn't be getting on your case about that." He said. "Mm, yeah, you're right." He nodded picking up the scent of the bear, following her. "Bear." He stated.

"It makes me wonder how some vampires are able to live knowing they've killed someones family." Lydia said with a small sigh, "I sure as hell wouldn't be able to live like that." She said. "Ha. Lucky all of us." She said sarcastically, frowning.

Amber hissed quietly as he spoke about her old boyfriend. "I was a stupid human alright?!" she snapped. "I didn't know any better... I thought he loved me." she grumbled, not meeting his eyes. At that point, she started running towards the bear, determined to get there first. As she spotted the bear, she could feel her mouth starting to water. She jumped at the bear and sank her teeth into its neck, not able to help herself from rushing into it. The bear roared loudly in pain and struck her with its paw, knocking her back and into a tree. She slumped there for a minute, a deep gash on her neck where the bear had cut her. Then she stood up, glaring at the bear. In truth, she had no idea how to bring it down. It was like twenty times bigger than she was...

Damon sighed softly and nodded. "That's why I live out here... no one in their right mind would bring their whole family out here. Those who do, usually come alone and lets face it... that is very stupid of them." he laughed quietly. He jumped upward and grabbed hold of a low branch, swinging himself up so he was looking down at her. "Welcome to casa de Damon." he smirked. "Damon's house..." he translated, grinning wider now.
