Marcelia sat on a high branch of a large tree that smelled like honey and lake water. It wasn't the most attractive smell but it the trees' branches made her feel secure in some awkward way. She had been asleep for about two hours now, last night she was extremely hungry, so, she found food. It was a party of just one, but they had enough supplies, they probably wouldn't mind her taking an apple or two. Juan slithered out of her knapsack and up to her ears. "Wake up senora Marcelia! It is almost noon and we should be gone by now!" He said, tickling her ear with his tail. Her blue eyes flew open and she immediately sat up and looked at Juan, who had made his way onto her wrist. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" She spat. Marcelia adjusted her bag then jumped swiftly from branch to branch until she was at the forest floor. She looked around cautiously for anyone who would possibly follow, mug, or attack her. The coast was clear and she headed North, where she hoped to find the exit of Underland.
