"Jealous?" Jillian said, the confusion obvious in her voice. She sat up and rolled to her side, looking over to Rito. It felt a bit awkward - she was fairly close to the boy - but she showed no signs of panic. The only jealousy she'd ever felt was when everyone had gotten a tarty-tart at a birthday party, except for Jillian. "But...why? It's only a girl. Girls aren't particularily special, y'know."

Rito shook his head. "Not jealous of Finnick getting girls, jealous of the girls getting Finnck. We grew up together, and he was always my brother before anything else. Then he suddenly started thinking that girls were way better than some stupid cat boy, and well... Off he went. Truthfully, I just stole his girlfriends to dump them. I wanted it to be like old times when it was just me and him being idiots together..." He muttered, staring at the ground. He had never even told Finnick these things, but for some reason he was just dumping this all on Jillian.

Jillian's mouth quirked slightly when Rito spoke, feeling the boy's slight guilt stinging the air. Whimpering slightly at his sadness, she put her arm around him, in a half-hearted attempt at some form of a hug. "You know, you could ask Fin to goof off with you..." Jillian said softly, looking up to the glow worm 'stars'. She returned her gaze to Rito, her eyes soft.

Rito shrugged in a half-hearted attempt to get her off of him. He didn't want Fin to see her hugging him, that would just kill their relationship and then Fin would stomp Rito into the ground. "I 'unno... I just... Never thought of it I guess." He finished lamely, looking up at Fin's dark outline in the tree.

Jillian felt the boy tug and shrug and retracted her arm, a small frown on her lips. She only wanted to comfort the boy, though she could see by his glances that she was making him feel awkward. When he spoke, she gave a small nod, her lips turning up in a small smile. "Well...you should." Jillian giggled slightly and sat up, looking into the waters as a small fish flickered by.

Rito saw the slivery flash of a fish and with cat-like reflexes, shot his hand into the water and pulled out the fish. He gave a small purr of satisfaction and dropped the fish back into the water.

Jillian watched Rito and grinned, seeing the frightened fish dart off into the night-murky waters. "That was cool!" She cried, voice soft so Fin wouldn't wake up. Curiously, she leaned over, looking into the waters. "How...how are you so fast?"

Rito looked into the water curiously, hoping to see more fish dart by. "I'm part Cheshire. Ever heard the expression 'Cat-like reflexes'? Well, there ya go." He said with a lopsided smile.

Jillian grinned when Rito spoke, glancing back to him. She giggled slightly, then looked away, a small bit of jealously evident in her expression. "I'm just a Hatter, through and through. Being a Cheshire must be cool, though. When you're a Hatter, people just see you as...crazy. Though, I don't completely disagree." The girl laughed slightly and began to rock back and forth, pulling her knees to her chest. It was more child-like than insane, though; Jillian may be a loon, but she wasn't that bad.

Rito chuckled as she rocked back and forth, curling his tail around himself. He looked up at the tree to check on Fin, only to see empty branches. He froze, one ear twitching slightly. His eyes narrowed, looking much like a cat stalking it's prey. After a few moments, he seemed to find what he was looking for and began to slink forward in a classic cat hunting pose. Face close to the ground, hunkered down, tail sticking straight out behind him. He moved slowly, extending one arm completely before moving the next. Aftera few moments, he pounced into some shrubs and came rolling out, fake playing with Finnick. He meowed in a playful delight and ran to take cover behind Jillian.

He chased after the cat boy, scrambling to his feet and stopping just short of Jillian. He was laughing, but he looked a mess. His hair was in tangles and full of twigs and leaves, and his clothes were all ruffled and dirty from rolling around with Rito. He looked down at Jillian with a sheepish smile. "Sorry, but I just had to know what you two were talking about." He said, looking like a kid that had been caught stealing a cookie from the cookie jar.
