[Crystal of Destiny]

Plot:
(P.S. This is not a real place....)
Everyone is looking for a date to the annual Ball in the small village Ravenscene, Ohio. Women in the whole town are waiting to be asked. There is merely a week away, and the clothing shops are open, and filled with teenage girls and their mothers. One second everything is fine. The next, you can see a young girl running; with a grown man in a mask following; chasing. She got to the door, and as she opened the door, the man pulled out a knife; and threw it at the girl; hitting her in her back; killing her. Every woman gasped; holding their children behind them; crying. The man started to laugh, then started running at full speed until he was no longer in sight... Now; there is a murderer in the town, and there is a masqerade ball in 7 days; that every person has to attend. No one is safe...

Raine walked through the forest in combat boots, cargo pants, and a black tank top. Reaching her tree, Riane smiled and took a running start, swinging up on the branch and landing in a crouch. Standing up, Raine balanced expertly on her branch as she had so many times before when she needed to get away and climbed higher where a gaping hole came to greet her, not visible from the ground. Moving away the viel that covered it, RAine crawled in taking in the familiar sight.

Esme looked up at her mother with fear in her eyes. Then, taking a real look at the body; she realized the girl is her best friend.... former best friend.... Paige. Tears welt up in Esme's eyes, and started their way down her pale, beautiful face. She takes one more look at Paige's cold, lifeless body; and runs to the back of the store sobbing. Esme pulls her hands away from her face, and she sees a rather large bruise on her arm. This discovery makes the tears come faster, and longer.

Vivian was on her way to where the murder had taken place with her mother. Feeling sympathy Vivian wiped tears out of her eyes when she saw the lifeless body of the girl. Sighing she looked around for the girls family and friends. Looking at her mother for approval. Vivian saw her mother nod once and Vivian headed behind the store only to find a sobbing girl. Walking forward Vivian asked in a soft quiet voice "Are you okay?" Putting a hand on the girl's shoulder she smiled at her. Tears leaked out of Vivian's eyes, because she felt sorry for the girl. She knew that she was family or a great friend to the girl who had died. Vivian looked past the girl to see if she could spot anymore people crying. "Come on let's go see my mother she can do something about the death hopefully."
