James awoke the next morning and got himself presentable and headed to a small coffee shop nearby.

Character name: Carter Danehert
Gender: Male
Age: Thirty
Appearance: Carter has seen many fights and many bad endings, with many scars to tell the story. With a bad right eye, and a prosthetic left arm, he hardly looks like the strong young man he had been. His face is pale, with very light grey blue eyes and short dark brown hair. He has a small bit of hair on his face, shaving has never been a priority for him. He is a tall man, strong muscled and broad shouldered. He looks like a big tough mess. Most of the time his face is a little dirty and he doesn't always have the most intelligent look on his face.
History: Carter was born in a middle class family. Worked hard to impress his parents and earn them some money once he was old enough. As a young adult, he was a self titled peacekeeper after seeing many of his friends and a brother killed by some criminals. He officially got the title afterwards, and hasn't ever been known as the sort of officer who runs from trouble, he runs into it. That has caused the nasty scars from guns, knives, and anything else a guy could throw at him. He messed up his eye and arm in the same thing, by the same guy, but also watched the other man die right afterwards.
Personality: Carter is a social person. He starts a conversation with whoever and whenever, calling it a form of active policing. Mostly just keeping him interested. He is tough on people, judgemental, and remembers almost everything. He will kill to protect someone or himself, but isn't a killer. He runs right into things with little thought and expects people to follow him instead of him follow them.
Paraphernalia: He always carries a gun of some sort and a knife just in case.
Occupation: Police/Peacekeeper
Skills: Carter considers his good memory and intelligence skills, and is generally not skilled in any particular area of anything but getting hurt.

Carter had gotten up at his normal time, for his normal coffee in the morning. Though waking up early made waking up more difficult, the coffee gave him enough energy to get started with his day. This small coffee shop was somewhere he regularly went, enough the staff at least knew what he looked like. The very large policeman sat at his usual table, with his usual cup, and just as usual blank stare at the wall. His attention was caught as another man entered the shop, but he simply sat up and finished his cup. Of course, he asked for another, still having time before his patrols would begin.

Tess walked down the street to the local coffee shop and breathed in the lovely smell.

James took his order and looked around for a table, the only seat there was in the place was near an older looking man (Carter). While walking over he noticed the girl from the store the other day, but he didn't really let it bother him. "Mind if I sit?" James asked the man.

She saw James from yesturday sit at a table with someone, "mind if I sit?" he said to the man. Tess walked over and said, "sit?"

Carter looked up at James, hesitating. He wasn't quite sure about anybody in this city anymore, but he nodded. "Seats are free. I don't own it." He commented with a slight smirk. He looked up again. "I'm Carter." He held up his good hand.

Tess walked up after he sat down, sit is all I have to say she thought. " Hey can I sit here?" she asked.
