Tess was sick of having to work, sure she still had her big house and her money but it wasn't the same. Tess was standing at the checkout when she saw a guy walking towards her.

This man was James, he was a bounty hunter but he was not out catching criminals right now, he was preforming the menial task of buying groceries. He placed his things on the counter a young girl was working at and dug into his pockets to fish out some money.

"That would be ten dollars thanks," Tess said. The two locked eyes.

"Here you are," James responded giving her the money, no more, no less."Thanks." He gathered up the groceries and was ready to leave.

"Wait!" Tess called, "You forgot your recepit!"

"Oh, thank you," he said gathering the paper up.

Tess sighed and looked down, will I ever see him again? she thought.

James casually walked to his dwelling,after entering he placed his groceries where they needed. James cooked himself a meal and as he ate he thought of that one girl, she seemed to be looking at hims strange, probably nothing.

Tess' shift was over, she drove home thinking about how handsome he was. What did he think of me? she thought stroking her hair.
