Clockwork: a steam punk RP, members needed

Rising up from the Dark Ages into the light of Industrial Revolution is the city of Arcadia. Criminals, bounty hunters, politicians, common people, all of them call this place home. Many people come to Arcadia to find new opportunities, which is just fine and dandy, just hope they don't run into a devious criminal or venture in to the cities lower levels.

The city levels:
Lower levels: These slums are what those less fortunate and various criminal scum call home. Not much has changed from the dark ages, here you must do anything to survive. There are no rules even the peacekeepers are frightened of this place. Looking up at the little pieces of sunlight streaking through and various transportation devices pass by reminds you of what you don't have. Know the right people, step on a few heads, take a few chances and you might just get lucky.

Middle levels: You step out of the rail car into a bustling center of commerce and voices shouting. The streets are lined with stores, apartment buildings, and other places. People rushing from one place to another and the occasional peacekeeper on patrol. Stopping in a small restaurant you order some food and drink to celebrate your new and possibly better life.

Higher levels: You awaken from bed and head downstairs you find that your automaton has already laid out your breakfast. You guzzle your food down, satisfied as you walk out to your automobile and tell your chauffeur to take just a drive around. Life here is good you worked hard and deserve these luxuries. Or perhaps you gained your fortune with the help of something much more sinister.

Rules:
1. Tess's rules apply.
2. You may curse but no sailor mouths and censor it with * or if you're feeling jokey @$@%#$^@$&!@%&%&*^.
3. No godmodding, power playing or mary sues.
4. Violence, Romance, and all that fun stuff are highly encouraged.
5. This is a steampunk RP so nothing to high tech, there can be prosthetic limbs but they're are kinda like clocks (you know with gears), the cars are kinda like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_car, and guns aren't like modern ones, more like old west.
6.If you're going to kill someone, ask them first.
7. Write coal in other to signify you have read the rules.
8.Have a jolly good time.

A couple things to know: If you read the intro you may have noticed the words "automaton" and "peacekeepers." You're probably thinking what the heck are these. Well have no more worries Because I'll explain those to you. A peace keeper is like a policeman. Now you're probably thinking, "why not use policeman then," well because I didn't feel like it and peacekeepers seamed to fit better. Now onto Automatons they're like robots, but wait a sec aren't robots to advanced for Steampunk. Well if you're familiar with the genre the automatons are indeed robots but not as advanced they run on gears, steam, and all those old timey operating systems.

Appearance: James is a man of average height and a thin frame. Though thin he is not frail, possessing taut muscles. James has brown eyes, a scar near his left, and intensely dark brown hair. James wears a white shirt, black pants, and black leather boots, over it all he wears a black duster. His most interesting feature is his right arm, it is a prosthetic arm created by clock experts and medical technician
History: James was born in the lower levels to a single mother, who died when he was 16. One fateful day James got into a fight with a few gang members. The gang members eventually gained the upper hand until they were stopped by a bounty hunter. Impressed by James' ability to last so long with the odds against him he took him up as his protegee. A few years into the business he and his partner were chasing down a particularly dangerous criminal. In a fist fight James was knocked into moving gears. He survived but his right arm was torn off and was replaced with a prosthetic one. The man who did this is now long gone but James is still looking for him.
Personality: Growing up in the slums of the lower levels James is strong willed, mentally tough, and mistrusting of other people. He dislikes seeing people die and will usually try to the best of his ability bring his target back alive. When he has a goal he will not stop until he has accomplished it. If one were to achieve the impossible task of becoming a friend of his, he will protect them with his life.

Tess has long blonde hair that falles to her waist, she's short and of average wait. she has sky blue eyes that look dull in winter, Tess wears a white shirt, black skinny jeans and high tops.
History:
Tess' mother died when she was three and her father when she was twelve, after her parents died she lived with her three maids who cleaned, cooked and sewed for her. Tess got what ever she wanted, until one day she grew up. Still she has her big house, money and power and still gets everything done for her but now she has to work, make friends and find a life partner. Tess was to get married two weeks after her twentieth birthday but her 'husband to be' got killed in a car wreck.
Personality:
Tess is sweet, spoilt and often bratty, Tess loves writing and horse riding and is often found sitting near the river at the back of her house writing songs or stories. When no-ones looking Tess cries in her bed, morning her family.
