Rory coughed as the smell of spray paint filled the hallway. She quickly walked through the hallway, but then stopped as she saw the number on one of the doors. She checked the number on her paper and found that they matched up. She opened the door and dumped her stuff inside before wandering back into the hallway. It still smelled like paint. She peered into the room that was next to her's. The door was open and it seemed that the smell was wafting from inside. She put her hand over her mouth and nose. The smell was burning in the back of her throat. She jumped back as a red-haired girl appeared and started to walk down the hallway. Rory stared after the girl, a small smile on her face, for a moment before returning to her room. She put her many articles of clothing away and then eyed the plain walls with a frown. They would need some work. For starters, she taped a few pictures of her close friends and some of her favorite bands above her bed. It would have to do for now. She laid out her makeup, jewelry, and a few other random objects on a dresser. She carefully set her guitar in a corner, promising to find it a better home later. After all of her stuff was unpacked, she flopped down on the bed. She stared out into the hallway through her open door, wondering if she'd make friends here.
