Corydon awoke early in the 'morning', and groaned, sitting up. Tugging his goat-like bottom half from the twisted bedsheets, he clambered up, his hooves clacking against the stone floor. Despite being in Hell, everything was quite Earth-like; well, save for the constant heat, lava everywhere, and stone houses. He made his way to the window and sighed, looking down to the street and up to the 'sky'. There was a false sun - a suspended ball of lava - that acted as light, and at 'night', it would just fall dark. There were many theories about it, but Corydon shrugged it off, making his way to the bathroom. He brushed out his goat-half with a special large comb, and brushed out his hair and beard, and also clipped his beard slightly. He also showered - some people were amazed that Hell had running water - and brushed his teeth, picking up his backpack as he left his room. Clattering in a fury down the stairs, Corydon made his way toward the door, and his hand was just on the doorknob when his mother cleared her throat. "Yeeees?" Cory said, turning slowly, as if his mother was going to asign him the job to assasinate someone. "You have to take your little brother to school, Corydon. It's only a short walk from your high school." The satyr groaned, but didn't talk back, and simply took his brother's hand. His brother - only in second grade - was probably the only person Cory actually loved. He was so innocent; Cory was sure he himself never was. "Alright, you little beast; let's get going." Slinging his little brother's backpack over his own shoulder, Corydon began the walk to school, slightly crouching so he could hold his brother's hand.

Lynn awoke early in the morning, and immediately woke up. Wasting no time doddling, she began to prepare for the school day; most of which consisted of making herself look good. She began with brushing out her long, white hair, and then taking a shower. When she was done, she dried herself off, and put on her make-up. She took a stick of coal and carefully filed the end to a point, then lined her eyes, as well as rubbed some lightly onto her lips. It gave it an almost dark, shimmery appearance, and when she was satisfied, Lynn made her way downstairs. Her house was immense; it was as large as a mansion, but its appearance was almost like a Greek temple, with many pillars holding the roof up from the outside. Eating a quick breakfast of orange juice and baked bat wings, she read over a note, which was written in her mother's neat hand-writing.
Dearest Lynn,
Your father and I were given a new mission last night. We'll be gone for a week; we're getting sent off to Mexico. Keep working in your studies, and be safe.
Love, Mother and Father
Lynn smirked and ran back upstairs, quickly retrieving one of the many sheets she'd made of her house's lay-out. 'If Mommy and Daddy are away, it's time to party.' She herself had no time for planning parties; she would simply give the lay-out to a satyr, and allow them to plan it for her. Then, they would run it by her, and when she liked it, the party was fleshed out and prepared for. Usually, for 'payment', Lynn had to allow the satyrs to come to the party. But, they were party animals, which Lynn didn't mind; besides, they made and brought their own wine. Grinning, Lynn tucked the lay-out page into her backpack, then slung it over her shoulder, making her way down to the road. Catching a cab - which was actually a black carriage, pulled by a skeleton-like horse - she sat inside, thinking about the upcoming party and which satyr to ask to plan it.
