Delphis caught up to Price, walking beside him, but her mind was far off. She was still curious why this boy was just wandering alone...she spit out the penny and sighed at his response. So he really was just wandering. "Anywhere?" she echoed, getting tired of his vagueness. But she knew that may be his only answer--"Anywhere."Looking away again, she could once again feel his eyes on her. She turned back to look at him, her face blank. "What?" she said, but didn't wait for an answer, just shook her head and looked away, running her tongue over the tips of her sharp teeth absently. Though as he introduced himself finally, her heart lightened a bit. "Well then; nice to meet you."
As Price slowed to look at her, she met his gaze with her oddly brilliant green eyes. "Dressed for the weather? I never am. I don't get cold easily, nor do I get hot easily." she explained to him simply. "I came from just down the street. It's pretty suburban here, if that's what you're wondering. There's a few buildings coming up. I think a gas station, a hospital, a restaurant and something else I don't remember..." she said in response to his question, adjusting her semi-heavy silver chain that was somewhat out of place.

"Nice to meet you." Price repeated. There were signs of a small chuckle beneath his usually straight voice; the girl's kindness was definitely misplaced. He listened to her babble on again, finding himself quite tolerant of her presence. Price felt very plain standing next to her though, only another thing to add to why she caught his attention. He was not usually one to pay mind to looks like that, but she really was quite beautiful. Almost unnaturally so. Price was easy on the eyes himself, but he was never fond of his paleness. "A restaurant?" He pondered out loud, focusing back on her words near the end. A place like that could probably buy him time while the storm built. "Will you show me?" Price looked back at her from behind his hood, without a guess as to what her answer would be. He didn't know her at all, or why she was out there in the first place.

With a hopeful sigh, Price dug around in his pocket once more, moving from his pants to his jacket in search of money. It probably wouldn't be appreciated if he just stood inside the building while the weather got worse, and a meal would do him good anyways. Luckily he found what he was after, feeling quite grateful that his wallet had not been in the car when it was stolen.

A smile threatened to show on Delphis' face as he chuckled, she'd thought he'd never, and his laugh was cute; so was his face, and his personality, bland as it could be, was still interesting to her. As he asked about the restaurant, she couldn't deny it, and she smiled; "Of course I will." she said. She was outgoing and was bored; at last something to do. Besides, she wanted to still interrogate him. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon though." she said, hinting she wasn't going to drop him off and leave. Her eyes wandered back to him, and she quickly caught up to him, staying by his side, silenced for once.
A few minutes later she could see the restaurant and made a right, up onto the walkway and up to the door of the place, giving passing by people nothing but a glance. She looked up at the sign and could make no clear indication what kind of food was sold there. Mostly because the sign was on the ground face down in the mud.
"Well then, shall we?" she asked with a sharp-toothed grin, opening one of the wide, wooden double doors.

Price's outlook on his dreary evening brightened at her answer. So she wasn't going to leave him to wander on his own. If he wasn't so impassive he might have let a little smile leak onto his pale lips as she continued on, clearly hinting at the fact she was going to stay. Being trapped in some unknown place while a storm ravaged the dark streets outside sounded a little better if he wasn't going to be alone. What regrets he may have had for picking up and running from home started to fall away. "Thanks." Price replied simply, letting his voice return to its flat nature.

As Delphis took the right, he followed after her, dodging a car as he passed the road to the walkway. It looked as if it had been raining for ages in that place, every crevice was filled and over flowing with water, ditches threatening to spill out onto the sidewalks. Price took a moment to take in the fallen sign, sinking as the earth around it turned to mud. With the dark skies over head, it gave the place an almost eerie feel, and he was glad to be able to give that short nod, taking the weight of the door and shuffling in after her. The inside of the nameless restaurant looked just as one would expect from standing on the walkway; poorly lit and very old fashioned. Though the lighting was probably due to the storm outside. Hopefully. Price let the door close quietly behind them, shutting onto an entrance bell that appeared to be broken. Lightning flashed behind him as he stepped further inside. Dreadful...

There was no wait to be seated, and there was no front desk so Price followed the isles, finding a place in the corner near a window. No blinds hid the storm, but it became a lot more bearable once you were inside. "...Here?" He suggested, waiting for Delphis before sitting.

"Welcome." Delphis replied to his monotonous thanks in her much more enthusiastic voice. Still she wondered why he didn't let any of his emotions show--she guessed it was his nature, but she could try and change that. Her emerald eyes wandered outside the restaurant. It gave off a bad vibe, and the raging storm didn't help her outlooks. She cautiously trotted in, expecting the ring of the welcome bell, but nothing came, and she wasn't surprised. The place looked like a scene in a horror movie, not a restaurant. Her thoughts were confirmed when a flash of blinding white light flickered behind them. I wonder if anyone's here in the first place.
When no one came to seat them, she got a bit edgy--what kind of restaurant was this...? Catching herself looking around half-mindedly, she trotted after Price, getting more nervous. No one was here, for one thing, and the place was a piece of junk. The storm only added to the eerie affect and the perfect timing of the lightning was just...odd. Listening to thunderolls and the pattering of the rain, she only nodded in response to Price's question, surprisingly not jumping at the chance to talk. Her clothes and hair were soaked but she didn't mind, it didn't make much of a difference to her. She sat down, leaning on the wall, her green eyes wandering to the storm outside. She felt a prickle on her neck and reached up, only to hook a large wolf spider onto her finger. "Awww..." she muttered. Only she would find a hairy spider cute...She sighed, setting the arachnid down on the floor. "This place is weird." she said, feeling uneasy.

Busying himself with pulling the buttons from their holes on his jacket, Price let his eyes wander the place. It really did look empty in there, not a soul to be found. Unless of course they only hid in the darker parts of the restaurant, keeping to the other side. With a quick flick of his dark eyes he searched for some sign or indication that their half of the place might be closed. Of course, there was nothing. Jacket and pack pulled off, Price sat himself in a chair across from Delphis, hanging his drenched coat on the back of the chair. His scarf came off too, sharing the same place with the soaked end of the seat, while his headphones only came to his neck. Underneath it all, he was only covered in a plain sleeved shirt, the cut inching down past his collar bones. Finally content, Price looked back at Delphis...and the spider that now hung on her fingers. Wonderful.

"Please tell me that was a disappointed 'aw'." Price spoke quietly, very aware that the place looked too empty. "A scream would've worked a lot better though." Why did she have to be just a weird as the creepy place? He watched the hairy thing scurry across the floor, absentmindedly angling his feet away from it under the table. It was disgusting, but as Delphis spoke again a smile snaked itself across his features. He was pretty sure she'd just been admiring a spider, and the restaurant was weird? "Oh, yeah. It's...different."

Delphis looked back outside, only distracted by Price's voice. She looked back at him, a pointy smile painting her features too. "A disappointed aw? Noo..." she looked back outside, then to all around them...what was up with this place anyways? No one was here, it was infested with all sorts of creatures, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for the longest time. "Hey, really, why aren't there any people here?" she wondered aloud, not directing the question at anyone in particular. Heck, she could've been asking herself. She didn't know. With a bored sigh, she porpped her head up in her hands and let her eyes wander. "I'm bored...." she muttered. But it was a lot better than a lot of things.
She spent the next few minutes entertaining herself with the abundant arachnids. She looked under the table at the spiderwebs in the corner, waiting patiently for a scarce meal. She reached out for a particularly fuzzy one, a jumping spider, unfortuneately for her. Since she was already on edge, when the spider jumped, she did too, proceeding to hit her head on the table. She threw herself back in the chair, rubbing the back of her head. "Ow." was all she muttered, looking away from Price, embarrassed at her clumsiness. Normally she wasn't so jumpy.
Atfer a minute of recovering, she felt fine. She hadn't hit it hard anyways. She looked back at Price, her emerald eyes sparking with curiosity. "Do you have any questions for me?"

"It's probably haunted." Price answered with a little smirk, though his tone hinted at no humor. "I bet if we go take a look in the kitchen we'll find dead bodies." It was an amusing idea, maybe they had entered right after some serial killer left. It would make for a much more exciting evening, and the weather definitely called for it. He was only teasing himself though, he didn't know where Delphis stood on the matter. If you could really call it that, rather than imaginings. There was a clatter of pots and pans from the direction of the kitchen, and Price felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. So maybe the killer was still there. Even better, the odd girl across from him had disappeared under the table. Well, that was perfe-
Price cursed under his breath as the table shook and Delphis lifted herself back into her chair, rubbing the back of her head that she had obviously smacked. "Are you okay?" He asked, signs that he'd spooked himself falling in line with his words.

"Oh- Questions..." Price was eager to keep the subject off of the freaky place and away from his imagination. "Sure. I guess I'd like to know why you were outside in the rain. The fact that you followed a stranger means you weren't headed anywhere particular...I really hope you weren't out there to do just that." Price was beginning to think that she really would be outside to follow some random person. Strange as she was, she could easily pass it off as 'something interesting to do'.

[ Ahh, me too! xD ]

"Haunted, yeah." Delphis agreed idly, half sarcastic and half not. Her imagination started to wander too; really, why was it so empty? The clatter made her jump again, and she looked towards the direction of the kitchen. She kept quiet though, and looked back to Price."I'm fine." she said simply, leaning forward, once again cupping her head on her hands again. It was turning out to be quite an amusing night...
"Why I was outside in the rain? Why not? Raindrops are fun to chase." she said, definitely noticing his thoughts about her being weird. She just wanted to mess with him. With a smile she continued,"No, not that. I was just bored. I get bored easily, quite easily. My adopted parents aren't home, so yeah." she went on to the next question. "No, no--I wasn't out there to do anything. I saw you though and got curious. So, I decided to follow you around. I don't have anything better to do, and really, what do I have to lose?" she shrugged, finishing off with a "It was something interesting to do." Little did she know, that was exactly what was on Price's mind. "Anything else?" she asked with a sigh, surprised he hadn't asked about other, weirder things she had done.
As another clutter sounded, she jumped, biting her lower lip in the process with her sharp canines. "Ow," she repeated. The second time she had hurt herself in 5 minutes. A new record. "Why am I so jumpy? Probably the vibe of this place?" she muttered, lifting a pale finger to her lip to feel for any blood. As she expected, there was. With an annoyed groan, she wiped it off."Why do I keep hurting myselfff..." she said, trailing off.

"Fun to chase, huh?". Price echoed, letting a faint smile cross his lips at the image of the girl running after the falling rain. "Do you usually follow strangers around?" He asked as she answered, still trying to figure that part out. The countless other odd things she'd done could come later. "Not everyone is as nice as you'd think." Price couldn't get his head around that being bored was her reason for bothering with someone she'd never met. Maybe he found it amusing though, for as she continued he found himself grinning again. Something interesting to do.
"And well...The cold, the coin...and now the spiders. You're a little off-putting but I suppose you have a simple explanation for that too?" Price leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms over his shoulder as he did so, content to sit and listen to this stranger Delphis. For the moment at least. In the corner of his eye he thought he'd seen something move but he paid it no mind, not until it started getting closer.

Shocked and a little disturbed, Price pushed away from the table, trying to turn to see whatever was making its way closer to them. It had an unnatural walk, heavier to one side. It didn't help his nerves either, seeing blood had began pooling on Delphis' lip. Fight or flight instincts were kicking in, but the feeling didn't last long as under the dim light limped an old man. Price shot him quite the accusing look, before settling in his seat again.

"How dya' kids get in here?" He asked through a cough, straining his eyes to look at the sign through the window. Neither open nor closed was lit, and the door had been unlocked anyways. "Don't matter...But th'stove's broke. 'Tricity's gone too." The man had an odd way of speaking, meshing his words to allow himself a quicker breather. Price only stared. That meant no food.
