"I'm going out." Delphis announced, but of course receiving no reply; the house was empty. But a habit was a habit. As she stepped out, she could feel the moisture in the air, and could sense a storm rolling in. Nature was always a paradise for her--she had never been close at all with her parents, and they were almost always gone. Only on weekends was her adopted mother home to homeschool her. Long legs carried her along the sidewalk, her emerald eyes watching passing people who didn't bother to return the favor. Delphis always had a tendency to wonder why some people were so secluded and cold nowadays. With a sigh, she veered to the right, walking along a main road, getting welcomed with a blast of air heavy with moisture. Her dark hair blew in her unusually picturesque face, and with a grumble she fixed it, but saw someone in the corner of her eye as she did--just some wandering nomad boy. Already curious, she trotted across the street without even looking at any cars that may be heading her way. Narrowly she landed on the sidewalk, and took a left, following behind the mysterious boy. Raindrops hit her pale arm, and she grinned lightly--finally this storm decided to start. Her attention was drawn back to Price, who had just...talked to himself? Swallowing her words, she drew up next to him, a small smile set on her face, her long canines barely visible. "Talking to yourself?" she asked in her melodic voice.
But of course she couldn't ask just that. "What are you doing out here? Well, never mind, I guess you could ask the same to me...Anyways, I'm Delphis Mecca," Her green eyes caught a metallic shine of a penny on the side of the road. She jumped out onto the road and snatched it up, switching to Price's other side, continuing to babble on. "Where are you from? I haven't seen you around here." She wiped the penny clean and popped it in her mouth, indulging on the metallic taste that reminded her of blood. But still, she wasn't done. "Why are you out here alone? Oh, and what's your blood type?"
