From ashes to ashes,
Look at the burning masses;
beautifully disastrous
Obelisk fell as the side of the warehouse gave in, his body crushing whatever was kept inside but the demon remained unfazed. He was only too thrilled as the female human took off behind him, clearly borrowing Gaenor's strength. He was a fool for making a pact, and foolish to think Obelisk was simply running. And you only hide... The demon was large, but born with long legs and he too was gifted with speed. Picking himself up, Obelisk tore through the side of the already crumbling building, hardly feeling as rubble rolled off his armored head and body. He leaped onto the clearer streets, lifting up water as he landed, and only then realizing another one of them was there. Eblis. Her comment on the destruction now behind him earned her no response; if she knew his name she knew his ways. There was nothing to gain in sparring the people there.
Tearing up the street beneath him, Obelisk pushed himself forward, trailing Yukino as she ran and leaped from rooftop to rooftop. If she continued to use them to get away, she was going to run out of places to run to; Obelisk had given up carefully slipping through the buildings of Windark. He followed quickly, jumping and barreling his way through the homes and other structures she passed over. The demon's red eyes were on her as she ran, the muscles in his hind legs bunching as he sprang forward, using both his plated head and claws to clear a way ahead.
"Why do you run?" Obelisk hissed, knowing she was only delaying her end, and only by a little now. The demon was gaining on her, each out stretched hand swiping a second too late at the buildings under her feet, each leap a little farther...

In my past, bittersweet;
There's no love between the sheet
Taste the blood, broken dreams
Each blast from Fizza's over sized weapon let loose a thick burst of blood, feathers falling wildly as the black demon struggled with the last bits of its life. It tried to shift again, only forcing more of its dark blood from its body and leaving itself to fall with a dull thud to the forest floor. Weak as it was, it had still been quite a large demon, and the mess of it had spread far, painting the dark forest darker. The creatures mask fell away from its faceless body, golden wooden eyes staring, unseeing, ahead. The knife stayed lodged between the eyes.
Emery had kept still, sitting up with a dull pain kicking through his chest, though he was quite aware of something stumbling closer. Putting weight down on his hands, he pushed himself to his feet, growing defensive without knowing what was moving his way. Twice he had encountered a demon that evening, and he'd paid for it too, he was wary of the black forest. Still though, he had the nerve to head in the direction of whatever it was. At least then he wouldn't be caught off guard. Emery almost called a flat 'hello', but was only reminded of how bad an idea that was as he took in a breath, pushing against a possibly broken rib. Instead he walked slowly on, trying to keep on his feet until he was caught with the sight of a boy. It was hard to see in the dark though, and Emery was forced to speak up to get himself noticed. "Hey-" It was short, loud and sort of strained, but after what he'd dealt with, it was all that left him.
Lonely times indeed
