Alex shrugged absently, not having any idea himself. But he was relieved to hear from someone he wasn't crazy. He followed her inside and also saw the dirty child. It was sad, though--he guessed that Teddy was an orphan who by the looks of it lived on the streets. As Peter proved him wrong and told him to get into a better mood, he suppressed his anger and merely grumbled something. But he was in a better mood. He had a tendency to switch his outlooks. As Eli came back out, his gaze shifted to her, and the foreign things she was talking about. "Psychic." the word rolled off his tongue weird. "Well, why? I don't even want to be, and they get really annoying sometimes...you better not be pulling my leg." despite his foul words, his tone was happier.

Acony frowned as he was obviously not comfortable with the situation. "Well then. Who's telling you to do that?" she asked him. As far as she knew, he could do whatever he wanted, but this seemed more of a thing that was in his head. She looked back at him, speaking once again, "Tch, stop pitying yourself and do something." she had nerve, and she had been dead for ten years--little to nothing daunted her.

Eli looked up at him, holding a chopping knife in her hand. "No. I'm not pulling your leg." She said seriously. "This is very real. And despite what you want and despite the fact that they get annoying, it's what you are. So embrace it. Or it will drive you into the loony bin." She said gruffly. She wasn't one to put up with anyone's foulness. She went back to cooking.

"I know that, but..." with a sigh Alex trailed off, he actually had no clue. Words sometimes just seemed to come out. "Anyway, sorry, I'm just frustrated..." he pushed his bangs back to the side and pulled out a chair, sitting down and reluctantly listening to the faint voices of the dead.

Teddy;
Teddy, quite unused to be handled like he was being, didn't last very long in the tub. As soon as Eli had left for the kitchen, the boy was up and out, holding a towel over his head as he began to search for his bear. That wasn't fair to take him like that, and he didn't see any problems with sharing a bath with the stuffed toy. Teddy began down the hall, opening and closing every door he came by, crossing the hallways back and forth while peeking a head in every room. "Teddy?" He called quietly as he tip toed bare foot down through the house.

Dez;
"My murderer." Dez answered in a whispery voice, though bluntly. He wasn't afraid of telling anyone, he was afraid of staying too close. The ghost turned his blood stained face back to the other, shifting so he hung suspended in the air. He wouldn't deny his pity, but he had no answers or way to do something about it. He had, for years, been keeping himself locked away in secluded place. It was the only thing he knew how to do, and it worked fine for him. At least then he wouldn't have to relive what had happened.

Peter smiled, appearing beside the boy. "Teddy is taking his own bath. You should be in the tub. Get clean." He said comfortingly. "Eli is taking good care of Teddy. I promise."

Jessamine walked through alleys, avoiding anyone who was human or not. She sighed, and rubbed her temples, Fear is the enemy.. she told herself as she walked around, scanning everyone around her. She avoided contact with them easily, seeing they could walk right through her. She walked by several houses, keeping her head down, making sure her hair covered her face.. even though she was basically see-through.

Teddy;
"I am clean." Teddy tried to answer Peter, believing that because he had been in the water, he couldn't still be covered in dirt. Still, pieces of stray grass hung in the boy's messy hair, proof he wasn't clean at all. Thinking he had thoroughly explained himself, Teddy headed off down the hall again, finding his way to the kitchen, though he did little but peek inside the open room. Troubled, he brought a finger up to scratch at his head, having seen others to it too. A low growling sound had the boy's attention next, and he followed it down to the laundry room, spotting his bear going round and round in the machine. "Teddy?" He questioned the toy, pulling at the door which caused a loud buzzing sound to ring, annoucning an unfinished load. Carefully, he pulled his bear out, brown eyes immediately on the swinging of the bears right leg. It hung much too limp. The washer had pushed the stuffing from the bears leg up into its body, leaving the little brown stub looking quite broken. Forgetting his bath, Teddy scampered from the room, holding his toy close to his chest. Heading straight for the kitchen where the only two who could help his poor bear were, Teddy ran.

Eli looked busy already, holding out a knife in front of her so Teddy went straight for the boy sitting on the chair opposite of her. The orphan looked like a child dressed as a ghost, the white towel draped over his head. "His leg." He stated, lifting his bear to Alex, looking awfully worried.

Eli set the knife down and went over to Teddy. She knelt by his side and took the bear. "Watch." She whispered. "It's magic." She took the bear to the dryer and after just a few minutes, the bear looked brand-new. She held it out to him. "All clean and all fixed. He's healthy as a horse. Now..come on while your Teddy takes a little nap." She placed the bear on the couch in the living room and tucked it in a little blanket.

She took the human Teddy back to the bath and set him in, scrubbing away the dirt and washing his hair. She then let him out, dried him off with a fluffy towel, and dressed him in fresh clothes. She brushed his hair and then his teeth. She fixed his nails and then heard the timer in the kitchen go off. "Your food is ready." She smiled.

Teddy;
Teddy followed after Eli as she fixed his bear, and grinned approvingly as she tucked him away on the couch. It must not have been too bad, if all he needed was a nap to get better. He didn't complain as he was taken away again to be bathed, and found it enjoyable in the water. He did feel a lot better once she was sure he was clean. At her words Teddy was off, remembering that the reason he had been so willing to follow was because he was so hungry. Racing back to the kitchen, the boy pulled up a chair beside Alex, climbed on and then jumped off half a second later, having forgotten his bear. Teddy crawled to the couch, putting his head on the cushion to peek at his stuffed bear, then spoke to him in a whisper. "Psst. Are you still sleeping? There's food now." Knowing that his toy would have to wake up from hearing about food, he grabbed its hand and pulled it back to the kitchen. He only climbed back onto his chair once he had pulled one up for his toy too, pushing it right up beside his own.

Eli smiled at the two of them. She made a plate for Teddy and set it in front of him. Then she set a smaller plate of the same food in front of the bear. She kissed both their heads and then sat down at the table to eat something herself. She handed Alex a plate, of course, knowing it would be rude not to offer. She looked down at the bear and the boy. "Do you two like it?"
