Kyo started at the mention of the Spartan's dead squad. "Yes well... Yeah.." He muttered, looking away.

Raptor didn't seem to notice. He thought for a moment.
"Would you like to come back to the base with me? Stay the night? It'll be a lot safer than staying out here all night. The Covenant isn't the only danger out here, after all," he said.

Kate nodded.
"Alright, then. Follow me. I'll show you to the base we're staying at," she said to Dare.

Kyo frowned, then shrugged. "Sure? Why not. I haven't slept on a normal bed for several days." he said, grinning slightly. "Lead on Raptor." he said with a small grin.

Raptor nodded, then put his helmet back on. He led Kyo back towards the base, which wasn't all that far away. The moment the two Spartans reached the base, Raptor was pounced on by Cassy. Raptor chuckled and picked the girl up.
"Nice try, but it'll be a long while before you can knock me over," he said. Cassy grinned.
"I know. But I can still try, can't I?" she said, rolling her eyes.

Kyo looked uneasy as they entered the camp. He didn't particularly like being around other people.

Raptor set Cassy down gently.
"Where's your mother?" he asked, looking around. Cassy shrugged.
"Still by the drop-pod, I think," she said. Raptor nodded.
"As long as she's back before nightfall," he said.
