[Shiko Hayashi]

Kyo laughed and suddenly, he was gone. He landed in a small bush beneath the tree, landing on all fours like a cat. He moved through the shadows, disappearing into them. Suddenly, he reappeared, right behind the Spartan, a knife at the man's throat. "Now what do you think?" he whispered. He purred, loud and deep, like a cat.

[The wild one]

Raptor smiled slightly.
"I do not scare easily, my good Spartan," he said calmly. "And you made a mistake in your approach: You left my hands free." Raptor grabbed his pistol and pressed it to Kyo's middle. He had no intention to fire the weapon, he was simply making a statement.

[Shiko Hayashi]

Kyo blinked, then smiled. He moved away. "I like you. Tell me your name." He said, grinning still. The pistol had not scared him, but rather send a thrill through him.

[The wild one]

Raptor placed his pistol back onto its holder and turned so that he was looking at Kyo.
"I'm Raptor," he said. "Spartn-F22."

Kate frowned.
"Where are you going?" she asked Dare, raising her voice a little as the other Spartan was moving away.

Kate hesitated. She wasn't sure if she should follow Dare or just head back to base. She had feeling that the others would start to worry if she stayed out for any longer now that it was getting dark.

Raptor placed his pistol back onto its holder and turned so that he was looking at Kyo.
"I'm Raptor," he said. "Spartn-F22."

Kyo grined. "Black Cat, S-7BC." He said with a cat like grin.

[The wild one]

"How long have you been out here? My squad and I only just made it to the base earlier today," Raptor said.

Kyo thought about it, then shrugged. "A few days at most. It's been pretty quiet and I haven't spotted anything yet." His eyes darkened slightly, then the look vanished. "My squad is.... a few ways off." He said, his tone strange.

[The wild one]

Raptor nodded slightly. He looked over his shoulder, back towards the base. From where he was standing he could just see the outlines of Cassy slipping out of the main door. He lost sight of the girl almost instantly when she took to the shadows being cast by the empty base. He sighed and looked back at Kyo.
"Most of my original squad is dead. I've got a few Spartans we met around here just sort of tagging along. I can't really blame them. They look at though they've been on their own for a while," he said.

Kate sighed and put her helmet back on.
"I'm heading back to the base over there," she said, pointing towards the nearby building. "You gonna stay out here, or do you want to come along?"
