Basic Description: Medium length straight black hair that hangs in his face. He has one deep blue eye and one silver eye. He's tall and lean with a decent amount of muscle without his armor. His armor is a scattering of blacks and gray's, making his form shift and blend in with the background at night. Without his armor, he has a black cat tattooed around his wrist.
Anything Else: Nothing in particular. He's a lot like a cat, in personality and action. Earning him his nickname, Black Cat.

Kate sighed and looked towards the dead forest. She saw the dark forms of a small flock of moas moving quietly along the tree line. They were searching for any edible plants. Kate felt a little sorry for the giant, flightless birds. They were suffering from this terrible war just as much as the humans were.

Kyo sat in the tree, his armor oddly lightweight on his body. He hung one arm lazily over the side and one leg on the other. He sighed and his multicolored eyes gazed out through the orange glass of his helmet. The sky was clear, but he could spot the darker clouds beginning in the east. He sighed and grimaced, rubbing a faint pain his his chest. He had been having weird pains lately in his chest. But nothing was wrong with him, he knew that much. Maybe it was a premonition. He sighed and stretched. Despite his lax and calm appearance, his keen eyes were constantly on the move, searching for possible threats and escape routes.

Raptor had left the base to scout the area. He put his helmet back on as he approached the trees. He grabbed his pistol and checked the clip. It was full, and he had extra clips if he needed them. He looked over his shoulder at the horizon. The approaching clouds promised of rain, and a possible cool down for the area. He sighed and walked into the dead forest.

Raptor stopped and frowned. His motion tracker said that someone was nearby, barely ten feet from him, but he didn't see anyone. He quickly lifted his pistol to shoulder level and moved closer to where he saw the dot that represented the apparently invisible stranger.
Raptor then heard the tiniest sound of movement coming from above him and he looked up, pointing his pistol at the sound. He spotted Kyo sitting in the tree above him. Raptor moved a few feet back, not lowering his pistol, just in case.
"Hello," he said, making sure his voice was loud enough for Kyo to hear him.

Kyo had noticed him almost as soon as he had stepped into the forest. He quietly slid the knife back into his pant leg and shrugged. "Yo." He said in a casual and non-caring voice.

Raptor relaxed his stance slowly and put his pistol back into its holder on his thigh. He reached up and pulled his helmet off a little hesitantly. He ran his hand through his hair.
"Sorry," he said. "I thought you were something else for a moment." He shrugged. "I'm not used to finding Spartans sitting up in trees."

Kyo took his own helmet off, his lip twitching in a smile. "Yes well... I enjoy the view." He said with a slight toothy grin. "What's your business here?" he wondered out loud.

"My squad and I are resting in the nearby base," Raptor said. "I'm put here in the forest because I need to make sure there isn't anything dangerous out here that could sneak up on us at night. And, so far, the only thing that I've found that could be remotely dangerous is you." He grinned as he said that, clearly joking a little.
