Bear walked along the beach and kicked some sand around. Strange that there was a war going on-- It was kind of dumb. He wished he could go back to peace. He liked peace. Many, he knew, disagreed and so he kept his opinions to himself. He picked up a piece of drift wood and threw it into the ocean and his dog, Franny, jumped in after it. He kept walking along until she ran up beside him with the stick in her mouth. She walked along happily, her retriever tail wagging like a flag.

Alexis got bored around her clan so went to explore, she saw the sea in the distance and walked to it. A herd of horses where watching her, she had always had a way with animals, the lead stallion walked closer to her. Alexis got closer to the ground showing she means no harm, he came closer and nudged her. "hey boy" she whispered and put her hand out, the stallion was young and his father was watching ready to charge in.

Franny started barking frantically and Bear looked up to see what it was she was going on about. He saw a figure up ahead standing with a herd of horses. Franny was already running full steam ahead towards the group, barking like a lunatic. Bear ran to catch up with her, lest the horses assault her. Franny, despite their creative differences, was his best friend, and he needed to protect her.

The lea stallion reared and ran away with the rest of the herd, except for the stallion who was with her. He stood in front of her protecting her from the dog yapping at her. "hello" she bent down and greeted the dog "where's your owner" she asked her. The stallion let her pat the dog but stayed next to her.

Franny wiggled happily under her gracious patting, completely ignoring the stallion. Bear, on the other hand, when approaching, threw a rock and hit the stallion to scare it off. He hit it on the rear as opposed to the face, because that was just downright cruel. Not like throwing a rock at a horse wasn't cruel.. He thought, but at least he didn't hit it in the face.

The stallion stomped his hoof and grunted, Alexis throw the rock back at him "that wasn't very nice" she shook her head and stood up, she calmed the stallion down "shh, shadow" she called him shadow for some reason.
