||Matthew was successful after three well-aimed, powerful blows to the windshield. It cracked, the cracks spider-webbing across until he rammed his full tiger weight against it and sent glass shards flying left and right. He snarled as some stuck into his right paw, but that was not important at the moment. He needed to make sure that the people ahead were in no danger of being discovered. Both the scientists cowered inside and the truck went rolling forward, one of the scientists barely able to keep it on the road. Matthew clung on with one paw, and reached inside, swiping at the scientist in the shotgun sat with his free paw. After a strong blow to the head, he knocked the shotgun rider out before turning to the driver. The driver trembled, and tried to steer, while fending off an enraged tiger, but did not succeed at keeping the tiger at bay. Biting the man's arms, the man screamed. Matthew roared in rage as Bella was shot, and was about to finish off the driver, but did not get to. The driver had a gun, and he wasted no time in pumping Matthew's chest full of two lead bullets. Ina cry of pain, he broke the man's neck before falling off the hood. Rolling on the grainy road, e dragged his tiger body over to Bella. "No!" he snarled, before gently going over. Pausing, he stepped back as Keirin grabbed her instead and took her up. He let out a squeak like a kitten before letting Keirin walk into the distance with her. Looking down, his ears laid back as he saw the blood pouring from the bullet holes in his chest. Dragging himself off the road and into a snow bank, he closed his eyes, too exhausted to go on any further. I hope that....Keirin saves Bella and they live happily together, he thought, wanting them to be happy, no matter if he died.||
