Rowan grinned crookedly. "It's the closest thing I'm going to get to a kiss until I build up the courage to actually kiss such a beautiful girl." As if he could read her thoughts, he said, "No..I don't do this for just any girl." He winked. He flirted openly, and willingly showed interest. But in truth, he was just as shy as a little boy on the inside. He kind of wanted her to see him for what he was. Not for what he tried to be on the outside, as protection against pain.

Xaria's heart fluttered again in her chest. Her cheeks burned red as she blushed and a shy smile crossed her face. She bit into her lip slightly, not knowing how to act in such a situation so just decided to act as normal as she could. "Thanks." She said, taking the compliment. "I've just got such charm." She flicked her hair over her shoulder playfully, acting snobbish.

Rowan laughed and stood. "See you at nine." He turned as the hour bell rang. "Finally. Now we can get outta here." He chuckled, then made his way through the crowd, toward his dorm.

Misti walked up to Xaria. "My cousin...I don't see why you want to hang out with such an arrogant weirdo." She rolled her eyes and grinned, holding out her hand. "I'm Misti. Rowan's cousin."

Xaria smiled. "Actually... I think he's quite sweet." She said, watching him leave. "He's a little weird, I suppose but so am I." She turned to Misti. "I'm Xaria." She introduced herself, shaking Misti's hand. "Nice to meet you... Though Rowan said I'd meet you at the party..."

Misti laughed. "I saw you two talking and wanted to see if he'd bothered you. I was about to apologize on his behalf." She really was nice, once people got to know her. "A little weird? Do I smell a crush?" She grinned.

Xaria shook her head. "Nope." She lied a little. It wasn't quite a crush, more like an 'oh, he's cute' type of situation with her right then. "He's not been acting all that strange really..." She shrugged slightly.

Misti grinned and nudged her. "Loosen up, girl." She shook her head. "Be careful. He can be an idiot when he likes a girl." She shrugged, speaking nothing but the truth.

Xaria giggled slightly. "Interesting..." She said, tapping her chin thoughtfully, looking at Misti. "For example?" She asked, looking for information, and possibly blackmail material.

Misti rolled her eyes and laughed. "He once tried to swallow fire for this girl one girl. Let's just say he won't be doing that again. He's tried to ski, deep sea dive. You name it he's probably tried it." She grinned. "I think he likes you."

Xaria bit her lip slightly, smiling as she tried to imagine it. "Why do you think that?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and deciding not to get too close to Rowan. If he'd had that many crushes and did like her, she didn't want to be hurt when he moved on to another girl.
