Drake's muscles tensed for a second, and he opened his eyes quickly, lunging at the door this time, wincing.

Drake grabbed the doorknob, lightly pushing Ralen out of the way with his foot, hauling himself to his feet, using the door as support. He opened the door quickly, and closed it, but made sure it clicked quietly. He was back in the cage room, but he didn't glance at any of them inside the cages. He just walked towards a corner of the room, where a knife lay.

Ralen rolled a few feet away, laying there for a few moments before he sprang to his paws, growling at the closed door.

Myra didn't look up when the door opened, her body shuddering slightly.
