Drake heard the noise that had made him jump before, and he swallowed, opening his eyes some, a distant, and crazy look in them. He felt like he was going mentally insane, and could've even been.

Drake gently tried to pry Ralen's paws off of him, still trying to get up. He tried to move towards the door of the lab, reaching for the doorknob.

Ralen growled warningly at him, his ears back. He moved so he was between Drake and the door, blinking at him worriedly.
