Been dazed and confused for so long it's not true.

In the year 2017, there was a certain experiment that took place in New York City. It was an experiment that included humans. An experiment that went horribly wrong.

The experiment itself was ingenious, and almost foolproof. But, the public didn't know about it. They genetically mutated humans so the humans could have a special power. They were to be the new army of the United States. Nearly indestructible. They created six of them. Each of them were numbered. Their numbers were tattooed onto them. It was going very well, until the creators of them decided they were too powerful to be released. They could pose a potential threat to the country they were made to serve. So, they took a chance. They hid them away. They sealed them into a steel chamber that had a glass front, they strung them up on triangular metal plates like the crucifix, and they released a special gas into the chamber. It was a certain sedative gas that put the body into a dormant state, and conserved all of the energy the body had over the years. If the body were to be taken out of the gas, they would be sent into an uncontrolled frenzy, fully aware of everything around them, but unable to stop their own body.

After a year, these bodies were released by a freak accident. After showing a colleague the experiments, the scientist who had done the entire thing was about to leave with his colleague when the front glass shattered. The gas inside the chamber escaped, and the bodies awakened. They killed innumerable people, then, they somehow destroyed the facility with their own powers. The government assumed that the special humans were killed in the explosion as well.

Two years later, in 2019, survivors of the incident have been found. Six survivors. Six very special survivors. The ones who caused the explosion. The specially mutated humans. They've found one another again, and are now traveling together. No one knows where they live. Most think that they just wander from place to place. The truth is, they do. But they haven't left the city. Not yet. No one knows why, but most people leave them alone. Except for the government. They started the same experiment over once more, but limited the powers that the humans received. They have made these other humans hunt down the first humans, as the government is worried about the next move these first humans make.

While the first experiments are on the run, the second batch is hunting them down. They have special equipment that can actually hurt them. The first ones have a choice of either giving up and dying, or running and living. The choice is entirely up to them. The only question is, will the others allow it?

The City~
It New York City in 2019. It's actually not that great. There are no flying cars. The economy has dropped drastically. Thanatos' view on NYC in 2019:
"It's current New York City. I was told that people in 2010 and 2011 thought we'd have flying cars by now. I also heard they thought the world would end in 2012. Well, that was fake. When I was young, my parents also told me that they thought there would be a time of peace and prosperity. Tch. Right. The population of the US has declined drastically. People are either living in poverty or just have a so-so life. You rarely find rich people. If you do, you can almost guarantee that they're blackmailing a higher up. It's not that this city is dirty and ugly, but it's not as grand as it once was. Now it's like an over-grown suburb. No one goes to see the over-priced musical anymore. That section of town is nearly a ghost town. All that's left really are the people who live in the small, more suburban areas. Otherwise, everything... It's about the same, I'm told. It's just a little worse off than nearly ten years ago."

Yes, that's what he thinks of it. And if you're wondering where I suddenly came up with that, it's because this RP is based off of a story. My story. I have quite a few chapters finished, and I'm planning on publishing it on another site someday.

Now, for the groups. The fugitives all know one another. They knew one another ever since they were captured. They lived together in the laboratory, so they were like family. And now that they've found each other once more, they are once again like family. They travel together.

The hunters are also like a family, but they're not as closely knit together. Some can be, but they just aren't as close together as a normal family would be. They do live together and all that, but... yeah. The hunters have their rank tattooed on their back.

Try to keep genders even. I'll make two guys so you girl making fanatics can make some, but still; keep your genders even. There has to be six guys, six girls. It annoys me otherwise. Plus it makes it a little unfair for people wanting a relationship, and there is one more girl than the guys, and they can't do a thing. Even love triangles only last until the other girl/guy finds out.

Please tell us if you'll be on vacation, and tell us how long about. Don't suddenly leave for a day or two either, please. I would appreciate it if you would say "I have to go eat" or "I have to go to bed" or something. I understand angry parents about to strangle you if you don't get off in the next two seconds, or power outages, but you should be able to tell us if you're going to leave.

Fugitive powers-
Just a note, one thing all fugitives have is very hard-to-penetrate skin. It's like built in armor. The skin is still soft like normal skin, but it is very hard to break through.
Necromancy~ Seeing the dead and raising dead bodies. It can be troublesome, as the necromancer cannot turn this power off. Taken
Shape-Shifting~ Shape-shifting into any form you please. Even shifting into a different person entirely. But be warned, your voice never changes, unless you take form of an animal. Taken
Mimicry~ Mimicking actions, voices, just about anything you can mimic. Noises, such as a cat meowing, bodily functions, such as an exact replica of an eye-roll, etc.
Body Control~ You can control an alive body, but the body is fully aware of everything that's happening. It can be useful for the desperate person looking for their first kiss. Taken
Electricity~ The ability to control anything electric. Electronics, like an iPod or computer, actual electric lights, manipulating the flow of electricity, etc.
Pain Invulnerability~ For a very short time, maximum time five minutes, you are invulnerable to pain. You will still get injured, but you won't feel a thing. Until it wears off.Taken
Duplication~ The ability to make an exact clone of yourself. It looks like you, talks like you, walks like you, but it has no free will. It cannot defy you. You are the sole controller. Taken
Invisibility~ The ability to turn invisible at will. It doesn't last more than twenty minutes a day, so you must use it wisely. Good for scouting. Taken
Telekinesis~ Moving things with your mind. It's not so strong you can lift an entire bus, but you can use it to move people, small cars(like a Prius), and various considered small objects in the large category.Taken
Force Fields~ Invisible, flawless protection. You can create an invisible barrier around an object, or yourself, and it is impossible to penetrate. But you can wear out. It wears out after about ten minutes of using it. Taken
Memory Manipulation~ You can make someone forget something, remember something, or give them a false memory. It doesn't always work, though. The person always passes out after having their memories worked on. Taken
Animal Telepathy~ Simply talking to animals. Any kind of animal. Even speaking to an animal that a shape-shifter has taken form of. Taken
Psi Blast~ Inflicting pain with the mind. You can't kill the person you use it on, but you can cause enough pain to stop them for a while. Taken
Telepathy~ Reading the minds of people you choose. You can only read one mind at a time, and you can choose which one you want to read.
Teleportation~ The power to teleport to any place you have seen, or any person you know. The place's features or person's face must be in mind to teleport.
Metal Control~ The ability to control anything metal. It's like a telekinesis of sorts, but you can only control metal. You can make it do your bidding. And if something is attached so something metal, if you can lift the metal, you also have semi-control over the other object. Taken
Healing~ Healing any wound imaginable. From stab wounds to gun-shot wounds, you can heal them all. Of course, it's very taxing on your own body.
Empathy~ Feeling emotions of others. You get near-exact readings of one person you choose to read the emotions of. An aura surrounds the person, according to their mood(you can look mood colors up on Google or something)

Hunter Powers-
The hunters do not have any tough skin, but each of them have a pistol with special bullets designed to pierce through the skin of the fugitives. Their skin is normal, but they are a little more resistant to attacks, as in if they are injured, it won't hurt as bad.
Density Control~ You can control the density of things. With this ability, walking through walls is possible, if you change the density of the wall to the equivalent of water and walk through it quickly. You can also change the density of yourself. Taken
Time control~ Controlling time. You can go back in time by maximum of an hour, but you can't go forward. You can stop time so you're the only one moving. When you're back in time, you can only see things that happened, you can't do anything. And you can only stay there for a few minutes. Five or less. Taken
Precognition~ Seeing future events in your dreams. They are relatively vague, and you can only see bits of what will happen. And you don't know exactly when it will happen, or why it happens. It will just happen.
Super-human agility~ You can jump quite a bit farther than normal, you can run a little faster than normal, and you have incredible balance. Like a cat. Taken
Possession~ It's like bodily control, but the person who you possess isn't aware of things. Their consciousness is pushed aside to make way for yours. But yours leaves your body, and therefor leaves it in a sleeping-like state.
Portal Creation~ Like teleporting, but you create a portal where you are, and one forms in another place, as well. As with teleportation, you can only travel to places you have seen or people you have seen. Portal creation doesn't go as far as teleportation. Taken

Fugitive Living Conditions-
They move from place to place, not really staying in one set place. They never leave the city. Their home is the streets. They get food from the various cafes in town.

Hunter Living Conditions-
Working for the government has advantages. They stay at a relatively fancy hotel, where the three girls share a room, and the three guys share a room. They have their own meeting room where they can talk about recent hunting outings.

Personality: On the outside, Thanatos tries to be a wall, not letting anyone in. He does so in order to keep his own personal secrets hidden. But on the inside, he's a very considerate and nice guy. He worries a lot about his friends, even though he doesn't like to show it. He can be kind of a dork when he's with someone he knows really well, but in a good way of course. He can be quite the jokester if he really wants to. Occasionally, you'll get him to talk, but it's no often. He's mainly a planner, rather than a physical fighter, and he enjoys actually making the plans, and scouting around. But that doesn't mean he can't fight. He does know a bit of street fighting, he can wound a person with various punches and kicks.

He doesn't allow anyone else to call him that, except for really, really good friends. He thinks his mother either moved or died, since he can't find her in the city.

She's wise for her age, and is known to cheer people up from her "words of wisdom", and get them back on the right track. She is against giving the fugitives any mercy because of the fact that her father was in the laboratory when it exploded. She will go against the leader if she thinks it's right. She's extremely loyal to one side and refuses to change. She has a bit lighter side to her, occasionally acting all happy and smiley, like everything's rainbows and lollipops, though it's not often; her main face is "I'm surrounded by idiots".

Personality:
The picture of Yuliya above is somewhat inaccurate: she never smiles. Actually, she makes it a point to never show any emotion at all unless she has to or really wants to. The most happiness she'll ever show is a slight twitch of the lips, and the most anger a tiny crease in her forehead. That doesn't mean she doesn't feel emotion. She just never shows it.
In regards to her job, Yuliya just follows orders. She's not hunting the fugitives because she's jealous of them, or angry, or out of any sense of righteousness. She's just doing what she's told. Yuliya is always completely subservient to authority figures and does her best to please them, which comes from the time she thought that her parents would love her more if she did more to please them.

Before she was an experiment, she was a ballet-dancer-in-training. She comes from an incredibly rich family, but sadly they didn't care much for her. Yuliya was often left in the care of nurses and tutors and spent days or even weeks without leaving their mansion. As a result, she received an incredible education, but had almost no friends. Her entire life was nothing but a battle to impress her parents, who became more and more distant as she grew. Eventually, Yuliya gave up and ran away, finally volunteering for the experiments as a way to earn money.

Personality:
Valentin is a pretty nice guy. He's not particularly outgoing and rarely starts a conversation, but is capable of conversing with others and has fun while doing so. He's somewhat guarded about himself, though, and does have a short fuse. When he gets angry, instead of yelling, he prefers to make the other person feel uncomfortable by using his power to directly mimic their most subtle expressions and gestures. Then, he uses his empathy power to read their discomfort.
With his friends, he doesn't mind being flamboyant with his powers. He's always turning lights on and off without moving, or changing the channel on the TV without a remote, just to show off. Also, he likes to work out and is almost obsessed by it. Every morning, he has a workout routine that he does, and he hates to be interrupted. This is to prove that he's "stronger than" his disorder.

History: Valentin always lived in a poor family. His parents, not having the money to pay for school supplies, homeschooled him and his seven siblings. Often, his parents would be away at work and he, as the oldest, would be charged with babysitting his young siblings. It was a difficult life- but strangely, the Askers were happy. They made the most of what they had and were a very close family. Even when Mr. and Mrs. Asker sometimes couldn't afford to feed their children three meals a day, they spent the evenings playing games to laugh away the growling in their bellies.
Everything changed when Valentin turned 14. Suddenly, he was plagued with terrifying hallucinations of voices and shadowy figures. Terrified, the Askers used half of their life savings to get him to a doctor, who diagnosed schizophrenia. Valentin and his parents all found jobs to pay for medication, and now his disorder is almost completely controlled, except for the voices he often hears in his head. Working out helps quiet them.

I was tired last night, so I didn't do much with the RP and it's rather messy. I'm going to fix a few things, so you guys may want to read it over again once I'm done. There won't be too much of a difference, I'll just explain things better. And if you all are wondering when we're going to start, we'll start when all of the slots are filled. So, you can advertise it to friends if you want.))
