Welcome to Oldway manor, the poshest mansion around. The people that own it have 2 sons and one daughter, and they are the snobbiest, richest people around. It is around the 1800's and there is a large war, the slave master against the abolitionists. The slaves in this household want to help the abolitionists in the war, but what can they do? It is impossible to escape from the manor and anyway they don't know how to fight. Two of the slaves knew how to fight so hey decided to start a club, but they must keep it secret. They will learn to fight without their masters knowing then they will try and escape.

Anne trundled slowly down the hall daydreaming. She knew she was supposed to do something but she couldn`t remember what. Anne was incharge of the horses and the stables so didn't spend a lot of time in the house. She wore a simple black top with brown trousers and her hair was full of hay.

Rebeca rode down the small town streets on a horse her master had let her ride, she was sending a message to the post office as the master instructed, her black hair flowing behind her.

Anne went out towards the stables. The stables were huge and had over 60 horses in it. That was just the stables though. There was fields full of horses behind the stables. Anne had to care for all of them each day, she never got a break and she had no one to help her, although she would love to have someone to help her.

Rebeca rode slowly down they streets, and dismounted the horse when she reached the office. She went inside and handed the post man the letter, then left and rode back to the manor.

Anne split the stallions and the mares into groups and gave them their food while the colts played in a nearby pasture. Anne looked at the horses, there was one missing. She looked around the fields and the manor but she couldn't find it and she started to grow angry

Rebeca rode into the manor grounds, then broke into a run when she and the horse rode into a feild, then slowed when they reached the stables.

"Where have you been with her, I've been worried out of my mind, don't you take any horses again without telling me," said Anne. She took the horses reins still in a mood
"I have enough to do without searching for missing horses," she said with a sigh
