O'Viel||20||Female||T'au||Cabin 3||Tagged: Charlie
Raised voices came from the direction Alucard and Shoto had gone. Well, one raised voice, and not one O'viel recognized. Another victim had woken up, and judging by the yelling they weren't happy about it. It would be best if this situation could be resolved without any bloodshed, and she was the best equipped among them to prevent that. Not that she doubted her companions' abilities, but, in her experience human psykers generally didn't do things by half measures. "You handle the child, Gue'Sha", she said, turning towards the voices, "I believe I am needed elsewhere." So saying, she stirred the Coldstar into a jog, leaving deep, two-toed footprints in the soft earth.

As it turned out, she didn't have to go far. A human female was running towards her, most probably the source of the yelling. There were a lot of humans here, O'viel was mildly surprised there was no representation from any other species. Surely the orb would have grabbed a few Aeldari, they surely had regrets aplenty. The T'au commander slowed to a stop, planting her armored battlesuit firmly in the fleeing human's path. Her weapons weren't charged, but she wanted to make it clear she wanted to talk. "I heard raised voices," she said, fixing the human with her battlesuit's cyclopean stare, "is everything alright?"

Kate was puzzled to see a man with a suit and lowered the flashlight off of the man’s face. A quick apology wouldn't hurt. β€œSorry, didn’t mean to blind you.” That’s when she heard the other voice, which was telling her that she wouldn’t be harmed and had nothing to fear. Now she could see it belonged to a giant…robot. Robot wasn't the best word to describe it, that was certain. But whatever it was, there was one explanation for them that made more sense to her than the rest. "So...you guys are from the future?" The note hadn't said anything against that possibility, only that the other people here were like her. Though how could a giant robot and some random adult have something in common with her? This thought was interrupted with the sound of someone shouting. Apparently the robot wanted to go check on it. Kate was a bit annoyed at the robot’s instruction to the man and when the robot left, she didn’t hesitate to say something about it. β€œI’m capable of handling myself and searching for my clues. You probably have more important things to do, anyways. And I won’t tell your giant robot you left me alone.” Maybe that would encourage him enough to let her wander about. She was twelve, she didn’t need a babysitter. At least her friends at the circus had treated her like a fellow teammate.

Shoto hadn't expected the girl to begin rambling from his question, but it seemed that was what she planned to do. It was good to hear that she was fine, at least, but the rest was a bit hard for him to keep up with. While he was used to having information thrown quickly in his face from his studies, this wasn't a time he was ready for it. His mind was racing to take it all in. For starters, he now knew why she was hiding in the tree, though it admittedly didn't make him all too comfortable to here. Mind reading. There were quirks like that back home and he couldn't say he was a fan of such. She said she hadn't dug too much, but it was hard to be too sure. For now though, he would take her word. That was all he could do. Next, she stated she had shapeshifting abilities as well. Yet another thing that was normal to him. Plenty of quirks back home allowed for transformations. To him this was no different.

Her name came next, and Shoto gave a small nod of his head to acknowledge her introduction, but before he could interrupt and offer his own, she continued on. The next part was what lost him. He could understand the non-human part. Animals with powers was yet another things that didn't faze the boy. Many mutants back home were based on animals so it wasn't such a farfetched idea in his mind. Actually, it was nothing out of the ordinary. In all honesty, she sounded as if she could easily fit in among the people of his home, but it was evident that she wasn't such from what she called herself; a Pokemon. Such a term was something he had never heard before, but it must have been what they called the animals of whatever world she was from. She claimed she was a species known as Meloetta. He may not have been the most experienced with animals of his own home, but he was certain that didn't exist back home.

Brushing that thought off, he allowed himself to focus once again on what he was being told. Despite claiming she was shy, she seemed perfectly comfortable speaking to him. It was a bit strange. Most people weren't like that back home. If anything they avoided talking to him all too much given how much he kept to himself and strayed away from others. It was difficult for Shoto to grasp why she would feel to open towards him. That was when her reasoning hit him. It took him by surprise and the boy's brows furrowed his confusion. "A rare kind of person? Genuinely kind?" he breathed out, finding those words hard to believe. She might be right that he was rare in a sense, but he doubted it was in the way she spoke. The only rarity he had was having a combination of quirks, though such things were becoming more common anyways. Still, he found himself allowing a small smile to form on his lips and he dipped his head as a small thanks.

"There isn't much for me to say about myself if I'm being honest," Shoto stated. "But, I am Shoto, Shoto Todoroki, and I'm currently training to become a hero at the top school in Japan. Much like you, I have special powers, though nothing like shapeshifting or psychic capabilities. I can control fire with the left side of my body and ice with the right." It was strange for him to jump into conversation so willingly, yet it felt right in this situation. It wasn't as if he had shared all that much about himself, but he certainly was talking more than he usually was. Maybe it was for the better. "I know that wasn't much, but it's probably the most interesting things about me." At those words, Shoto pushed himself up to his full height once again before extending a hand out to Symphony to help her up.

The drama that occurred right in his face was, at the very least, interesting. A human girl who spoke of demons and exorcism, and possessed a rather strong aura of fear and anger. Zhongli merely batted an eyelash, though the way she spoke and the way she threatened Adrian made him wish to intervene. But before he could step in to do anything, the girl had run off with a warning, heading straight for another building perhaps with another goal in mind. His gaze follows her vanishing figure for a while until he settles it on Adrian's rather tense posture. He remains seated on the log, nothing but calmness radiating from his patient gaze.

"It seems that the girl thinks of you as an enemy rather than ally." He remarks, clearly stating the obvious. He blinks slowly - was she perhaps an exorcist of demons of some sort? He knew of those who could seal the darkness back in his home world, but he didn't know that mere mortals could do it too. As he speaks, he manifests several topaz gems around him, practicing whatever power he still had left within him, for who knew when an unfavorable situation may occur? His gaze is still fixed on the dhampir, eyes observant of his emotions. Was this the strange sense of foreboding he had felt earlier? "It would be best if we leave her, unless you wish to follow for fear that she may truly cause harm?"

Zhongli draws in a deep breath - whatever the girl may be trying to do might injure Adrian, and he can't help but feel worried for him. His gaze softens, the crystals reflecting in his yellow gaze. Hidden behind his calmness was a subtle emotion of sadness; did the young girl think he was a demon as well? A sigh escapes his lips as he continues. "Convincing her that we aren't the villans may be fruitless, seeing as to how strong-willed she is against 'yellow-eyed demons'."

Charlie #5

Charlie Cassandra Winchester l Supernatural l Hunter l Oc l location - l tagged - O’Viel

The brunette hurried along through the trees wanting to put as much distance between herself and the small gathering around the campfire as she could. Her thoughts going nearly a mile a minute as she went over what she needed and her next steps. First off as going to have to be protecting herself against those that were around the fire, and possibly others that could show up or already be around. After all the girl had no way of knowing just how many demons or monsters she was actually going to be dealing with. It would be best just to cover all her bases from the gate. She would find a decent spot in the camp and start by locating some salt. Then she would put salt lines at every opening she found from doors to windows to fireplaces, as well as mark a large area for her to stay in with a salt ring. Spirits and demons could not pass salt. It also injured and incapacitated demons.

After the salt would come the, hopefully, silver cutlery from perhaps a kitchen of some sort. Silver bullets killed werewolves and a few creatures could be killed by a silver blade to the heart. Not to mention that monsters like Shapshifters and Werewolves were burned when they came into physical contact with silver too. The young women would have to gather as much of that as she could find and keep it on her at all times for safety.

Once the salt and silver were seen too, then the girl could go out and ward the building itself. Paint would do to sketch the necessary sigils on the walls and windows of the building she choose to reside in. It would also serve to paint a Devil’s Trap inside just in case one got through inside, like the one she spoke to at the fire for instance.

That’s when a large mechanical foot suddenly appeared before the girl, blocking her path back the way she had come. With no choice but to stop, the brunette came to a halt staring at the new appearance. Figures. These things were persistent but when was dealing with the supernatural ever easy? More people would be Hunters if it was so simple a job. Eyeing the new appearance with narrowed hazel eyes she took in the new face. A mech. A giant mechanical robot like thing was blocking her path. β€œI already dealt with enough demons and monsters, I have no patience to deal with another or intent on being dragged back there to your friends! If you’re going to kill me then be sure as hell I’m taking you down with me! This time I will exorcise you! Make an example to the rest of you idiots from the pit!”, the young women snapped at O’Viel. Glaring at the battle suit before her she began chanting the well used words she was familiar with, ” Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te... cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque Γ¦ternΓ¦ perditionΓ¬s venenum propinare... β€œ

Ah. This was more in line with O'viel's human experiences. Presumably then, this human was of the Imperium, and would be much more tiresome to treat with. She wasn't speaking the traditional human tongue, but the strange language they sometimes used in their broadcasts. The commander contemplated simply vaporizing her, but it wouldn't be in the interests of the Greater Good to kill a potential ally without talking to them first. "There is no need to be frightened, gue'la," she said, "I will not harm you. I am Kor'O Vior'La Viel'Vsum Y'Eledi Kir'La, of the T'au empire. Our peoples have fought in the past, but I have no quarrel with you."

The young women stopped the incantation part way through but did not look away from the battlesuit. Odd. Normally even by now demons were writhing around trying to fight the exorcism but it was almost as if the Latin wasn’t effecting this demon at all. There were some pretty powerful demons but this one, who apparently was female as well by the sound of her voice, had no reaction what so ever. Nothing. Not even a little twitch of pain or discomfort. Not to mention that she had used what sounded like another language to the brunette, but was not one of the ones she knew. β€œYou’re not a demon or a spirit.”, she said seeming to calm down slightly but not totally relaxed or any less suspicious, β€œIf you had been you would have been driven from that suit by now or rolling around in pain trying to fight being expelled. And that language of your’s isn’t Latin or Enochian either.” She just stood there studying the battlesuit wearing being before her before, β€œSo then you really have no idea who I am and don’t intend to hurt or kill me.”

The brunette really wasn’t sure about this. Though she had no idea what language this new appearance spoke, it’s translation, her purpose here or even what species she was the young women bit back her instincts this one time. β€œI’m fine, just peachy actually. I’m just have a few tasks I need to get done and one of them is to get as far away from those things around the fire back there as possible. That and find what I need to protect myself from them. So if you wouldn’t mind moving your foot so I could get passed..”

"I am T'au," O'viel said, though she didn't open her cockpit to confirm it. Something told her it would be safer to remain behind a ceramite-armored frame, for the time being. "I do not know these "demons" or "spirits"," she continued, "but if you mean to harm Alucard and the others then I cannot allow you to pass. Harming them would be detrimental to the Greater Good, and would only lower our chances of escape from this place. They are also gue'la, like you; we were brought here by the same being, and our goals are the same."

"Thanks," the thin man replied gratefully, lowering his hand once he was certain he'd no longer be blinded. O'Viel was quicker on the draw than he (in his defense, he was blinded), but he soon arrived at the same conclusion. This - this is a child. I am speaking to a child. It felt wrong, honestly. "What kind of entity thought that a child needed to grow up and face their past? Isn't that kidnapping?" Kidnapping didn't exclusively apply to children, but Nicholas felt more confident that he could handle a kidnapping than a literal child. This kind of stuff leads to kids having unresolved issues as adults and having to go to therapy at thirty. Speaking of - Guess I'll be rescheduling my Tuesday appointment. To when was a mystery, but he felt that seed of guilt budding in his stomach again. His thoughts were interrupted by a command from the T'au pilot, instructing him to keep an eye on the girl who'd just clamored out from her cabin. "Where are you - hey!" Nicholas stammered, moving slightly in O'Viel's direction as she cantered off. "It's Nicholas!" he called after her, rather miffed at the other's use of a label.

He glanced back to the girl, still clutching her flashlight as if it were a life preserver. "Uh, no?" Where did she get that idea? The necromancer studied her a bit closer, noting the more aged style of her clothing. Maybe this being's a bit more powerful than I gave them credit for. he chewed thoughtfully on the inside of his cheek, smoothing out his clothes as he composed himself. "No," he said again, more confidently this time. "I wouldn't say we're from the future or you're from the past, I think it's more complicated than that." Did he know anything about what he was on about? Absolutely not. The key was pretending he did, and it worked like a charm. Not to mention Nicholas was quite good at putting on that face for people. "The more important things I have to do are not here," he pointed to the ground by his feet. "and not now, so I'd say my schedule is pretty free." Nicholas shrugged and put up his hands, taking a step back. "But you sound pretty sure of yourself, so it'll be our little secret. Just do me a favor and don't die, please? You can't very well go back to your -" a pause. That felt like a touchy subject. "- home as a ghost." his raised hands transformed into a pair of thumbs-ups. "Better yet, can this scavenger hunt wait until morning? I'm sure you'll have better luck then, plus there are..." a second pause the count the growing number of residents, done so on his fingers. "six? I think it's six. Six other people besides us stuck here, and you might want to consider staying close to the fire until we know what all is out in those woods."

The shouting was getting more difficult to ignore, and Nicholas didn't want to stand idly by with that kind of intent floating around. "Just be careful, because I gotta..." he pointed in the direction O'Viel had gone in, nodding towards it for added effect. "Okay? Okay. Stay safe." he formed an "ok" sign with his hand before hurrying off, walking briskly to try and diffuse the tension between O'Viel and another of the newcomers fresh out of pseudo-stasis. "Oi!" Nicholas called once he was within earshot, recognizing a few words in Latin. "Cool it with the church Latin, would you?" that was his cue to keep the illusion alive, rather than give his wings the stretch they needed. There was no telling what this girl would do him if that came up.

Raising an eyebrow, β€œSo first you ask if I’m okay and then, when you have your answer, you decide to go right back to being a threat? Seriously? You know all I have to do is find a water hose and I can short circuit that hunk of a tin can? Or a computer and hack it? Not that there would probably be a laptop out here but still the point stands.” Yeah she seriously doubted that there was any sort of technology out here in the woods in the middle of who knew where that she could make use of. What was with these guys though? Why were there so many and why did they keep bothering her and getting in her way? β€œGreater Good? Please! Letting any of you go like this would be harmful to the Greater Good and not to mention go against my very exsistance!”

The brunette would have said more but instead became distracted when there was the sound of hurried footsteps drawing ever so near. Frustration mounted in th young women. More!? Just how many monsters could live in one place like this? And where the hell were all the other Hunters if these many demons and creatures were hold up in a campsite? Why were they just allowed to go unchecked like this? However upon the new arrival appearing approaching herself and the being in the mechanised suit, the young women froze. And for the first time fear-driven-anger gave way to just simple and plain fear. Cold hard fear. Yet the brunette didn’t dare move so much as half a step backwards, her eyes now locked on the new dark haired male arrival. When she spoke her voice was far softer then it had been since she had woken up in the cabin, β€œWha-I mean...” Clearing her throat trying to regain some composure as she spoke to the man, β€œSorry. I don’t know if a I should be asking who or what are you.” An apology, even a small one like the one she had given, was a yet unheard of thing from the young women but this man had managed to get one as well as seemingly pacify her bad temper.
