      Shoto Todoroki!!
xxxmale sixteen years old mha location: fire pit tagged: alucard, zhongli & sym
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Falling silent, Shoto watched as Adrian began etching the symbols into the ice. He figured asking questions about what they were now wasn't something he should do, thus he kept his silence and let the older male continue his work. As he waited, his gaze eventually moved back to the fire that flickered before them. It was slowly beginning to die down from lack of new wood being added, but the teen couldn't be asked to fetch more. If they needed a light source once the fire died down, he could easily provide, albeit for only a bit of time. He couldn't imagine his body would take too kindly to him letting his flames burn for all too long without letting his temperature drop to avoid over heating or causing more burns to scar his body. The thought of such caused the boy to wrinkle his nose in annoyance before giving a small shake of his head to dismiss it. It wasn't that his current scar had even been cause directly by his quirk, but he knew if he let his flames get out of control they could make something akin to it.

He didn't fully snap from his thoughts until he heard Adrian finally speak up again. At the sound of his voice, Shoto's gaze returned and he gave a slow nod of his head. While he was keen on meeting with others all too much, there wasn't much of an option otherwise. That feeling made him feel so trapped, so helpless. Admittedly, it knocked his ego down a notch though he wouldn't dare admit such a thing. He had only just begun being social with his classmates back home, but now he was thrown into this whole ordeal with complete strangers. Forcing himself to be social with them was a difficult task for him to overcome, though he was doing his best. Besides, Zhongli made a good point; more allies wouldn't hurt. It was a concept Shoto struggled to accept, even in his hero studies. Being independent and having loner-ish tendencies had always been something he had done. He'd have to fight through that.

His attention was immediately drawn from his current companions when the sound of a branch snapping followed by a scream rang out across the camp. It was a quick scan of the area before his eyes settled upon the strange girl that was on the ground beneath a nearby tree. Clearly she had been trying to hide, but the tree had different plans, or so that was how it appeared to him. Nevertheless, Shoto found himself moving towards Sym with a gentle expression upon his usually stoic face.

"Are you alright?" he asked, crouching down in front of her. "You took quite the fall." It felt strange to him to come off as caring. Maybe Izuku had rubbed off too much on him. Either way, it didn't hurt to be nice, or in his case, attempt to be.

The brunette kept running. Her mind elsewhere trying to keep the unwelcome images from her head. The sounds. The smells. The feelings. It was so overwhelming that it didn't register she was not in the driver seat of the car she knew so well anymore, the car which had become her one link to sanity as that last thing which grounded her. Her home away from home that still managed to smell like him even after a month of him not being there anymore. No. The young women had yet to realize that she was running through a camp ground in some sort of forest as she raced to get away from those memories that were worse then fighting demons.

She could recall that day, that very moment, with clarity so perfect it was as though the young women was reliving it yet again. She'd locked up such thoughts and refocused her mind on the hunt in order to keep these memories locked away. No matter what the brunette refused to relive that night in any shape or form as long as she had a say in the matter. She would run as long and hard as required to escape and stay away from what she had experienced that night.

She'd failed.

It was all her fault.

It wasn't until the bright glow of flame materilized before her several feet ahead of her through tall dark shapes that the young women slowed her pace. Her conciousness returning to her slowly as though the flames were burning away fog from around her brain. Burning back the horrid memories she was trying to get away from. And the brunette's pace slowed as she drew nearer and nearer to the source of the brilliant flickering light ahead. The young women soon enough stepping through the dark treeline into the glow of a roaring camp fire. Her chest heaving with the effort to bring in more air into her lungs.

With a nod in agreement with Zhongli. It was a good idea to make alliances since all of them were in the same boat together. Though he made a point not to get too close with anyone, there was no point in making friends if they were unlikely to see each other again after this ordeal. Adrian began walking towards O'Viel when the sounds of cracking from a near by tree caught his attention making him stop abruptly. Whoever he had sensed was hidden behind those green leaves earlier had a wrench thrown in their plan it would seem. A girl came falling out of it. While Shoto went to go see about her, around the same time a scream shot through the air from one of the cabins sending yellow eyes in that direction. Not long afterwards a young woman came barrelling out of one of the buildings. His brow knit together as he watched the woman run, her pace slowly decreasing until she stopped just a few feet from he stood. A questioning expression was written on his face, though it softened a little as he asked "Is everything alright?"

He had shown just as much concern for her as he had for Shoto when he had burnt the book in the reck centre. He couldn't help it, he was half human after all. That did nothing to ease his mind however. For all he knew any of the new comers could be hostile so keeping a guard up was always mandatory. Yellow eyes scanned his surroundings, listening for any more conversation or other new comers showing up. Once they had made their acquaintances Adrian made a point of going back to the fire pit. There was still a task left unfinished and he wanted to finish it. If it proved to work they all could get to their homes. But they also should discuss what to do about the entity, if there was anything they could do.

𝔃𝓱𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓲 : male 28 fire pit tags; alucard, shoto, sym, charlie

Two new beings had so abruptly visited them instead of the other way around, and Zhongli finds himself stuck between the two, not knowing whom to approach first. As Shoto and Adrian went to greet either newcomer, he stands there, eyes flickering from one girl to another, an eyebrow raising in curiosity as always. A hand rises as he assumes a position of thought before he decides to take a seat by the soon-to-extinguish fire, placing himself on the log with his legs crossed over one another. He remains attentive as they converse, folding his arms and observing the rather interesting scene before him. Both newcomers were interesting - one radiated the aura of something not quite human, while the other was clearly as human as possible. He frowns; the entity spared no race, he thinks to himself, his eyes glancing from one conversation to another. He sits there in silence as the flames crackle before him, licking at the wood that supplied its warmth, sparks jumping from the logs ever so often.

He would wait patiently once either side had finished their conversations, and by listening to them, he hopes that it is enough to understand them - or perhaps even their backgrounds while they spoke.

Sym (3)

Symphony (Sym) Sonia: Tags: Shoto, Near the Others Area: Area Below Tree/Near Fire Pit

Her Embarrassment and Worry immediately Turned to Happiness when this Young Man came over to see if she was alright, Despite her Shyness meeting Nice People like this was her favorite part of traveling. "I'm Fine and well I was using my Psychic Powers to see What Everyone was, Because I was a bit Shy... But I Never dig into anyone's Mind, That's a good way to lose Friends! And when I finally decided to show myself I used my very limited shape shifting powers to turn to this form for Introductions and a Good First Impression and well the Tree couldn't take my increased weight... Anyway I'm Symphony Sonia or Sym for Short and there doesn't seem to be any use in trying to pretend I'm a Human in a Costume here... I'm actually a Pokemon, Basically a Sentient Animal with Odd Powers. I am of a Rare possibly one of a Kind Species of Pokemon, I am a Meloetta! And Well Long Story Short I asked a Powerful Creature to let me interact with Humans easier and Ended up with this Anthro Form and since I love Singing and Dancing Ended up becoming a International Recognized J-Pop Star that everyone thinks is just a Eccentric Girl that Loves dressing up as Meloetta!" Says Sym Excitedly Rambling on a bit and jumping to her feet and twirling a bit for Emphasis at the end.

"Anyway enough about me! I wanna know who you are?" Says Sym. "Your the Rare kind of Person, I would have Revealed myself to in the Past before I got this Form... A Genuinely Nice Person, That Rare type of person Genuinely trying to be Nice even if their not sure how nice of a person they really are and Truly Nice People are Rare to meet." Says Sym with a Cute Wink and a smile.

A fire. No. Actually that brilliant glow she had been lured to through the darkness was a campfire.

Wait-

Realisation seemed to return to brown eyes as the brunette finally came to her senses and took time too observe her surroundings. Her heart beat easing up a bit heading to head towards what would eventually be a normal rhythm once she calmed enough. Now that she got a better look around the young women could see that she was no longer in the driver’s seat of the black painted Chevy Camaro as she remembered being in. In fact it didn’t even look like she was in the town she’d been checking out either, unless the people there suddenly decided to make their homes in trees for some reason. But she doubted that. Somehow the young women had ended up in a forest, some kind of camp ground actually when she chanced a glance back in the direction she had come running from. There were three large log cabins there. She must have woken up in one of them now that she thought about it.

Looking back in the direction of the fire the girl froze yet again upon seeing several other people around the warm flames. The first were a pair over by a tree a short ways away consisting of a boy and another girl. The girl having appeared to have fallen from the tree they were under, which likely meant the boy with the red and white dyed hair was helping her or otherwise making sure she was okay. These people- Something about being around this campfire didn’t feel right, as in more then she just suddenly appearing here with others in the first place, and the young women had the feeling these others were the sources of that uneasy feeling. Her instincts were acting like an EMF Meter going off in the most haunted building in America....she was not in the company of normal humans. The question was just what were they? Clearly they weren’t spirits, too corporeal, so perhaps she had somehow been captured only to be taken to a nest of some sort of monster.

Looking from the boy and girl by the tree, she turned to the two older young men sitting around the fire. The lighter haired one had asked her if she was okay and was currently walking away looking as though he was going to take a seat near the blaze. Instead of answering the question the young women said a very loud clear, ”Christo!”

Adrian raised an eye brow, his concern for her slowly fading into confusion. His question hung in the air as his yellow eyes watched as she regained her composer from running, and checked her surroundings. He could feel that Zhongli's presence had retreated back to the fire, so it was just him and her, with Shoto and the girl close by. The other new comers were still where they had been and haven't moved much. The woman never seemed much interested in answering his question, instead opted for speaking in a clear and loud voice 'Christo'. Adrian found himself at a loss. He didn't know of this woman's intentions and her saying that only made him more puzzled.

"I beg your pardon?" Was what the dhampir chose to ask next, feeling it was only thing he could say. Perhaps she was casting a spell? Or some other magical incantation? This woman however seemed like she was not trying to be friendly. As a precaution the dhampir rested a hand on the hilt of his sword, just in case she decided to attack. He watched her with narrowing eyes, waiting to see what she would do next.

She looked around carefully eyeing each person around the area for the slightest reaction. She had no idea who these people were or how they managed to bring her here to this camp, but she wasn't just going to sit there in the possible enemy lair or let them keep her in a trap. Since they weren't ghosts it was possible these people were monsters or possessed by demons but, with lack of holy water or silver on her at the moment, an alternative test was required. She was sure she had the right word and that she had spoken loud and clear, yet the only one that reacted was the yellow eyed man who'd asked if she was okay a moment ago. It wasn't the flinch she was expecting but the blonde did still react by moving for his sword. Was that supposed to be some sort of Angel Sword? Couldn't be. Though a few demons did use Angel Blades, the young women knew of only one Angel Sword and this thing he apparently wielded was not it.

Giving the blonde young man her full attention she narrowed her eyes, wondering if she should just go ahead and do the Exorcism now or wait. He must be possessed considering he reacted to her test....plus there was the unusual coloring of his eyes to consider. She'd heard of demons with eyes the color of this young man's before. And they were demons were not to be taken lightly or underestimated in any way yet capture one and they could be useful. Perhaps she could question him for answers. Where exactly was she? Why was she there? Who had him take her from the car or was it him? How he managed to pull it off in the first place? "You have sixty seconds to tell me what the hell is going on here, who and what you and your friends are and how you managed to get the jump on me before I send you back to Hell! I'll deal with your friends as soon as I figure out what sort of monsters they are!"

Adrian had stood and watched her for her next move. He listened to her talk. Gone was the friendly demeanour he carried with him while meeting the others, replaced by a menacing aura. Making it clear he didn't appreciate being spoken to like that. His hand no longer resting on the hilt but now gripping it. Clearly this woman was confused, and so Adrian did not react with hostility right away. But he didn't know how well she would listen to him considering she hadn't answered any of the two questions he had asked previously. "Is that so?" he countered his voice low, dark. "I'd like to know what how you came to that ridiculous conclusion." Why would she think that? Even if he was powerful enough to do such things, it wouldn't be worth his time. He knew he'd have more important duties to worry about other then disturbing other creatures and taking them from their homes.

Another question popped into his head, should he explain to her what was going on? Or would it be a fruitless attempt to keep the peace considering she probably already made up her mind about him. It was most likely the latter category but Adrian decided to try it anyway. It would be a pointless fight in his mind no doubt but he wasn't going to stand there and let himself be attacked and wounded. He would attack in self defence and nothing more then that. The dhampir agreed with Shoto, Zhongli, and O'Viel before hand, it was better to be civil with each other. They all were in the same boat after all, although his words were rather lacking in peace-keeping at this point.

He guessed that she wouldn't believe what he was going to say but chose to say it anyway remaining calm. "You were brought here by an entity." Adrian began, his expression serious "Each of us has something in our pasts that we are running from, this entity has taken upon itself to fix such things. As far as my companions go, you may ask them... nicely." A bit of snark sneaking it's way into his tone while attempting to reason.

He couldn't help it. He knew it was only going to push her buttons more. Much like he had done with Belmont when first meeting him under the town of Gresit. But he did answer her questions, partly. It made him realize that she probably hasn't seen the note that was left with her, too busy rushing out of the cabin. Adrian left it at that for now, yellow eyes intently surveying the woman, readying himself in case she chose to make her next move a hostile one.

“Because I know my instincts and I know my job! All of you are setting off my instincts so high it’s insane, none of you are human! Add that to the fact that I’ve heard stories of yellow eyed demons before and I have all I need to back up my instincts! Especially since you reacted to my test!”, said the girl, “I think I’ll exorcise you first right now!” And yet even with the familiar words on the tip of her tongue the girl did not let them slip passed her lips. Oh she had every intention too of course, but they just got caught in her throat refusing to leave at the demon’s explanation of what was going on. According to him an entity had plucked, not just herself, but him and the others present from their homes and dropped them here in this camp. And had done so because each one of them had some sort of bad history they would rather leave better off in the passed, yet this so called mysterious entity decided it better to make them face it. Such thoughts made the young women halt. The brunette standing there for several second before finally slowly backing away from the demon before her. “If you or any of your so-called friends dare to come near me-“, her voice was softer then it had been a moment ago and strained, “-I swear that I will not hesitate to kill you. Do you understand that Demon? Test me I dare you.”

With her warning delivered the brunette promptly turned on her heels and took off running for the direction in which she had come. If this was a campground there had to be a kitchen of some sort here which meant salt and cutlery...possibly silver. The young women needed to get her hands on as much silver and salt as she could possibly manage to get her hands on here. And something to mark up a building or write on windows with. If only she had a rosary then she could make holy water but, unfortunately, she doubted she would be able to find one where demons tread. Still the girl could at least put up wards to protect herself for the time being. Maybe, should she be able to find what was needed, she could attempt to summon whatever supposed entity had supposedly dragged her here to this camp and make them take her home. Or she’d kill it. Gods were not impossible to trap or kill if one knew what god they were dealing with after all. “Focus Charlie. Demons lie. You know that demons lie.”, she said to herself as she ran.
