Skia brushed her silvery blond hair behind one ear and made her way toward the main building. Her grey eyes flashed like a storm in the winter, her barn owl Vesta perched contently on one shoulder. His head swiveled, and with a warbled, rippling hoot he took off into the cloudy sky. His wings were splattered with caramel and snow white splotches as he soared away. A breeze rushed through the air as she sighed. She'd have to get used to this wind power stuff...
She briskly walked toward the doors, and broke into a light run, her sneakers pounding on the bright green grass. At the door she met a boy and a girl. She'd heard a little of their conversation and found out their names were Adrianne and Eli... or something like that.
"Hey. I'm Skia. Either of you know anything about this place?"

"Hmm?" Eli said, turning to Skia. "This is a place for those with powers," he said.

"um... powers? I mean, I've figured out I can control winds," she said, making a sudden breeze harshly run through, whipping her hair around her face. I wonder what these two can do... she thought curiously, lifting her gray eyes toward the cloudy sky.

"Yes that counts as a power," Eli said, smirking.

"shut up." she laughed, wanting to sock him in the arm. "so what made you qualify for this freak house?"

"If I told you, then you'd know," Eli said deviously, with a matching look on his face.

Tara walked away slowly she was ok but she needed to be aorund so she teleported away

"um, exactly my point..?" she said, smiling. She heard Vesta's wingbeats behind her, and she lifted up her arm as he landed on her shoulder swiveling his head curiously. "Eli, this is Vesta. Vesta, Eli." the owl pecked a loose strand of her hair, showing no sign he heard her.
