"Coffee?" Audrey offered to Ace. "You look a bit sad, or angry. You alright?" Audrey asked afterwards. 'If he is mad, hopefully it's not at me.' Audrey thought.
Ace ran a hand through his hair, and stood up to take a place in line. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just getting a bit grouchy 'cause I'm hungry..." He said, getting his meal before taking a seat at the table.
"You sure?" Audrey asked. "You can be honest with me." Audrey added. She took sips of her awesome coffee until she was finally done with it, she got up and threw it away quickly. When she sat back down she leaped right back up sense she felt something sharp in her chair. "Ow!" Audrey said, she saw a thumbtack. "Ace, why did you do that? Or did you even do it?" Audrey's mood went from concerned to frustrated.
Ace nodded. "I understand, but I'm fine. If I did have any problems, I would probably be running my mouth about them..." He said, eating his food slowly. After throwing it away, he came back to his seat. "Um, actually, no. I didn't do it." He grinned, glancing around in the cafeteria for any guilty-looking students.
"I bet it was one of those girls giggling at my hair." Audrey said angrily. She went over to there table, they tried to keep their laughter contained as she slowly made her way over there. "Why did you do that?" Audrey asked, her temper was started to get out of control. One of the girls stood up and pushed Audrey into a trashcan, and left with her posse. Audrey tried to get out, though every time she tried to push herself up she failed miserably. The cafeteria started to laugh and Audrey felt shame and embarrassment past the limit.
Ace raised an eyebrow, feeling admiration towards her for confronting them. He walked over to her, and tugged on her arms to help her from the trash-can. "Don't listen to them..." He said, getting her free. "Are you okay?" He asked, hoping she wouldn't get emotional.
"I'm not sure.." Audrey said, she took off her jacket revealing a hello kitty shirt and look at her arm.. it had a giant bruise on it as well as a few scrapes. "I guess that means I'm not okay." Audrey slowly lift her head up to the girl as she snickered back and turned forward. Audrey felt tears well up from embarrassment, but felt anger build up from the sight of the girl who pushed her. "When I see her next, I'm going to make it where she can shove her fist into her mouth." Audrey said with anger.
Ace saw her expression, and turned to the table of the kids who had caused it. "I'll be right back." He said, whipping himself around. He sped up to the table, and pressed his clenched knuckles against the table. "Apologize to her." He said through his clenched teeth.
Her posse only laughed and pointed at him. "Why should I? because shes your little crush?" The girl said with a stuck-up attitude. "What if I don't? You going to beat me up?" The girl teased. She popped her gum and took a preppy-girl 'your not better than us' stance. In the mean time, Audrey attempted to touch her bruise and see how bad it was.. even the slightest touch was tender. "Trashcan's should be lethal weapons." Audrey mumbled.
Ace mumbled something, his grip on his fists tightening. "Because it's the right thing to do." He said, glaring at the rest of the table. "Just stay away from her." He added, returning back to Audrey. He exaimined her wounds. "Do you need to head to the nurse?" He asked, concern flashing in his eyes.
