How is he/she a demi-god? (Name both the parents): Poisedon fell in love with her mother, Alena. But then Poisedon had to leave when Rio was born.
Brief Background: When Rio was born, her father stayed with her for three years of her life, then he had to leave. Heartbroken, her mother continued to care for little Rio, slowly becoming a drunkard and the time paced and the alcohol flowed. One day though, her mother tried to kill 5 year old Rio. In the process, her mother started a fire and, in a desperate escape, Rio killed her mother, manipulating the water within her mother, and fled the burning house, severe burns scattered across her body. Horrified at what she done, Rio wandered the streets and alleys in a daze, only surviving just barely as she stole scraps of food from the trash cans and such. One day, at age 8, and older boy found her, along with his gang. They took her in and carefully cared for her, nursing her back to health. Rio, when she was finally healed, sought to repay the boy's kindness in any way possible. It was only when she turned 10, that she realized they were using her. They attacked her and turned her out when she fought against them. She was left in the winter cold, fighting back starvation, death, and loneliness. It was only when she was attacked by a young, but rather large basilisk, that Camp Half Blood found her. It was rather due to a small creature that constantly shifted between three forms that she was saved. The creature, Akakios, alerted a guardian satyr, who was rather frightened by the strange creature, and she was saved just in time. Rio was brought to the camp and put into the infirmary, suffering serious wounds, from past and present. The creature stayed by her side, revealing that he had been with her most of her life, watching over her from a distance, but never revealing himself. Stubbornly, he refused to leave. Rio, at age 12, finally came out of her dazed shell to find herself healed outwardly and in the strangest of places. As Rio was introduced to Camp Half Blood, they found that the young girl was hiding something. of what, they knew not, but they knew she was.
That's a short paragraph on Rio's background. A bit sloppy, sorry.
Talents/Flaws: Rio is a skilled, almost unnaturally so, survivor and daughter of the water. She finds solace beneath the cool lapping waters and she is always at peace beneath the surface. But Rio is also stubborn and foolishly brave, often getting her into trouble far worse than normal. But she somehow always makes it out, not without a few reminders though.
Crush (optional): Open
Bf/Gf (optional): Open
Cabin: Poisedon
Age: 14
Looks
Personality (optional): Rio appears cold and calculating, but she's actually just hurt, deep inside. She's afraid to show other's the pain she went through as a child. She's quiet and rarely speaks. But her bark is as sharp as her bite, so I don't suggest you mess with her. When you get to know her, you'll realize that's she's laid back when relaxed and friendly, easily able to warm up too. She hardly misses anything and in a fight, she's brave and ferocious.
What Percy Jackson book did you read?: All of them, plus the few other side trilogies.
Other? (not optional): Not really, but she does have a strange creature that seems to be able to shift it's form upon will between three animals, and is telepathic. A pegasus, a hell hound, and a dragon. You'll most likely see it though, as a hell hound. It will only shift if Rio asks it to in Greek. His name is Akakios, but she calls him Akios. He's very protective of her and is about the size of a large horse, plus a few feet more.
(( Finished. I hope you don't mind her telepathic shape shifter of a pet. It was just an idea I had. ))

Cole said, feeling distant, still stuck in his thouyghts and half paying attention to his conversation, like he couldn't wake up from a dream. Or a nightmare. If he was paying attention, he never would have said that he wouldn't go back. That just gave away toi much.
