I will explain, since this game over the years has changed names/rules/situation. The most recent games I've seen are referred to as "Mafia". When I first started playing/hosting this, it was referred to as "Lynch Mob" and the sort.
Teams:
Villagers vs Vampire (Killer)
*Villagers win by correctly killing all the vampires, and/or taking out the "original" vampire (that will start a chain reaction killing any minions he/she MAY have created).
*Vampire wins by converting the whole town, eliminating the whole town, helping/causing the town to lynch everyone non-vampire, or being the last person standing.
*In case of 2 left standing (villager, and vampire) the vampire wins, because if the villagers could kill the vampire one on one, they'd not need a lynch mob to try to catch him/her.
Setting: Village Town, being plagued by a "killer" in the night, every night a vampire will have the option to attack one villager. The villagers will also be able to try to take out the vampire during the day though two methods (Ordered Execution, Lynch Mob). More explained in the rules.
Tips: Role Play daily, look for clues, hints, and try to deceive to dodge being lynched, or to flush out the vampire.
Not everyone is as they seem, some people may have double roles... you can only trust yourself.
Roles:
Roles outside villager will be randomly chosen, some will be publicly known, some will be secret. Some will not be listed until reveled.
Town Mayor: Public role, will "lead" the town. Job is to try to keep the peace.
Ability: Once a Day can use Ordered Execution to try to take place before sundown, the user selected will be executed, night will pass before the town finds out if it was the vampire, or an innocent villager. There is no way to avoid Ordered Execution. Orders must be placed publicly, the mayor does not have to use this.
The mayor CAN be lynched, and will be replaced only if needed.
Vampire: Hidden Role, Goal is to eliminate or convert villagers.
Ability: Once a night, can select a player to attack, there are 4 outcomes. 3 Will result in a elimination of the player, or conversion, 1 will result in a slip up that may drop a huge hint on who they are (Vampire will be PM'd more details on this).
Minon: Converted Villager, Goal is the same as the vampire, abilities are also the same, secondary goal would be to protect the vampire because if the vampire dies, so do they.
Villager: Goal - Stay Alive
Villagers don't have any defense alone, but banded together is 80% of the villagers band together publicly. They may lynch any member out of fear. Lynching will always be successful as long as a minimum of 80% of the village agrees. Villagers may only Lynch one person a day.
This round, there will be 2, roles not listed until reveled.
Rounds will be Night and Day, Round will end when everyone has voted (for public things), and hidden roles have PM'd me their moves. I will then post round end, and results of Day, then Night.

When Sufficient time has passed for people to role play and check in(about 12 hours) (I will give at least 2 warnings when a round is wrapping up)

Rules:
Stay as active as you can, especially if you get a key role.
Do not cheat, cheating will get you removed from the game. (This involves but isn't limited to telling friends in PM if you're the vampire, telling people who the vampire is if you've been killed, ect)
It is NOT cheating to PM people to ban together or otherwise plot, as long as you are not telling them things they can't find out on their own (aka hidden roles, vs public roles)
Do not get graphic, while this is an elimination game/role-play, leave the final say of what happens to me, and I'll keep it simple, this isn't about the gore, it's just elimination.
Have fun - if you find yourself stressing, or otherwise taking things too seriously PM me we'll work something out.
Anyone may leave at any time, however for the sake of Role Play, if you wish to back out I will have to eliminate you.
Roles do not carry over Round to Round, same as death does not carry over, as soon as a new round starts, it's a clean slate.
