At the DWMA, there are two kinds of people. Meister's and Weapons. They form a team to kill Kishin's, humans who have strayed from the path and become evil, gorging themselves on human souls to gain more power. The purpose of the DWMA is to create Death Scythes. In order to do so, each Meister and Weapon team much collect 99 Kishin souls and one Witch soul. The Academy was founded by Lord Death himself, who resides in the Death Room at all times. It was once a little known fact that underneath the DWMA, was a Kishin. Or more specifically, THE Kishin. He is a truly evil beast and when the Witch Medusa tries to free him to use as her own personal weapon, he escapes. Now that the most powerful and feared Kishin in the world is free, what will you do? Will you fight, or join him?

Personality:
The son of Lord Death and the meister of the Thompson sisters. Kid suffers from a severe obsessive-compulsive disorder for symmetry. He views anything perfectly balanced on the right and left to be beautiful, and breaks down upon seeing anything off even by the slightest measurement (sometimes to the point of vomiting up blood and collapsing), which proves to be a major problem in his daily life and during battle. He chose to wield the Thompson sisters as twin guns to preserve his personal symmetry, and refuses to fight using one while the other is missing. Nevertheless, he is able to fight without his weapons through the use of a custom martial arts style. He can also summon a flying skateboard called Beelzebub as both transportation and a weapon. His status as a Death God grants him formidable power, particularly the destructive Soul Resonance "Death Cannon." While he is not required to collect souls or attend DWMA because of this, he does so anyway to fulfill his personal desires. His most distinguishing feature is the set of three white streaks on the left side of his head called the "Lines of Sanzu" which increase his godlike powers whenever they connect, though it depresses him whenever someone mentions them as they are not symmetrical.

History:
Kid lived a regular rich kid, son of Lord Death life. He never had to do anything really, he chose to collect Kishin Souls and train Death Scythes of his own accord. When he had to choose a weapon to train, he turned down the best because they ruined his personal symmetry. When he found Liz and Patty, they were trying to mug him. Of course, this didn't bother him in the slightest and he asked them to he his weapons. At the beginning of the anime, he tells his father that he is going to join the DWMA, even though he doesn't have to.

Personality:
Liz is a girl who plays tough, but is really a soft-hearted girl. She is older than her sister Patty and Patty is braver than her. She is afraid of anything that goes bump in the night, but doesn't seem to have a problem fighting Kishin's as long as Kid or Patty is around. She is the taller of the two sisters, which angers Kid extremely. He is always getting mad at them for being so different. Liz has longer hair than her sister and is always wearing blue skinny jeans.

Patty is the younger of the two sisters who doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. Despite her cute and innocent appearance, she is a vicious fighter and tough girl. She is shorter than Liz and has shorter hair. Patty is always the one who tries to protect Liz, while Liz is the one who always takes charge. She always wears short-shorts.

History:
Liz and Patty grew up on the streets and made their living mugging people. Being twin pistols, one would wield the other. They practically ruled the town. When they met Kid for the first time, they were trying to mug him. Kid asked them to be his weapons and they were caught off guard. Of course they agreed, who wouldn't want to live with some rich kid in the lap of luxury. The longer they lived with Kid, the more they warmed up to him, and now they fight with Kid because they are grateful to him and feel as though they are in his debt.
