Thomas inspected the friendly feline with a smile, putting out a rather dainty hand for it to sniff. He was rather contented to have sided with an owl, for he found them absolutely fascinating, but the cats quite a few of the students had been lugging around with them were very cute, he'd give them that. Another cat popped its head up, and Thomas practically had stars in his eyes. He wasn't sure how this boy managed to get away with two companions, but the more, the merrier, right? Celeste was much quieter, her attention focused elsewhere. Thomas was thankful these cats had paid very little attention to his latest bird friend.
At first, Thomas feared the new Hufflepuff wouldn't respond to him. Thomas wasn't much of an extrovert either, but the way he received a rather blank stare made him a little bit uncomfortable. Perhaps this wasn't the right person to talk to. But his words soon overpowered the silence, much to Thomas's delight. They were quiet, maybe even forced, but a response was a response.
"Pleasure to meet you," Thomas returned with a warm, tight-lipped smile. He was just about to introduce himself when
"Hufflepuff! was called out again. He turned his attention onto the newcomer, who was also a boy. Like with Jessie, Thomas offered him a small but genuine smile, then leaned over to shake the boy's hand. "I'm Thomas Lovegood. Delighted to meet you both."

Kathleen Diggory──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────age:x[eighteen]xxxxgender:x[female]xxxxblood type:x[muggle-born, claims to be pureblood]xxxxhouse:x[tbd]xxxxlocation:x[the great hall]xxxxtags:x[aurora goyle]The names just kept on coming. Ravenclaw, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Slytherin, Gryffindor... It was beginning to seem like an ongoing pattern. Kitty was admittedly rather surprised to have heard that not one but two Weasleys had been sorted into Slytherin. Twins, too, they looked to be. How ironic. Her eyes lingered on the Slytherin table for a moment, then the Ravenclaw's, then Gryffindor's. She was rather envious, she'd admit it. They all seemed absolutely thrilled to be seated where they were placed. And they were socializing, and getting along grandly. When was she going to get called? The Sorting Hat was most certainly taking its sweet time this time around. Kitty supposed that was fair, and considering the fact that it hadn't been working in quite a few years, it was rather valid. But she was cheekily impatient, and she could only stand still for so long.
A pretty, feminine voice caught her attention, and Kitty glanced to her right. Standing nearby was a blonde, taller than herself, with an eye-catching snowy white owl. Quickly, Kitty's gaze snapped down to Talu, whose eyes were little black puddles.
"Talu," she scolded quietly. "Those are not for you to eat." She tapped his nose with her index finger, then shifted closer to the blonde. "Since we might be here all day, I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Kitty Diggory. I like your owl."
