((Hey, Jay, October's heading over to the Music Room. ^_^))

Damien shrugged. He'd had a terrible nightmare but he didn't want to trouble Jack with it. Besides, the blush that had spread across his face was too adorable. He couldn't help wanting to tease, "Oh, I had an excellent dream. You were in it." He smiled and began to scrawl his name onto the homework assignment he'd just completed.

Neferet, their professor, looked around before settling her eyes on October.

"October, would you mind taking this down to the Music Room?" she asked, "It's very important that Akira get this."

"Yeah, sure." the girl replied, flipping her hair back. She handed her homework to Neferet and took the note. She glanced back at Damien and Jack before leaving the room. The halls were barren, save for a couple of cats roaming around. October was careful to step around them as she made her way to the Music room. Once outside the door, she could hear faint music being played inside. The teacher had just asked the class what composer had written the piece when she stepped inside.
"Bach?" she guessed, standing just inside.

Akira looked up as the door opened and a girl stepped just inside the doorway. "Bach? Why yes it is. Since you are not in this class, i will ask without knowing your level if you can name the song itself?" He smiled a little a played louder, the sound travelling down he corridor easily. He didn't look away from the girl. "I would also like your name."

((I was just throwing something out there! I know some of the composers, but I can't pretend to know more than a couple good Violin pieces. Mainly belonging to Mozart. However, Bach was an older composer so I guessed him. ^_^;))

"Oh, I'm sorry for intruding." October said, blushing, "I'm October and I have a note from Neferet for you." She had recognized the song from her youth, when her mother played piano. But, of course, she could never remember the names. There was one, Gavotte was it? No, that was a violin piece... She sighed, wishing she knew more about classical music.

Akira slid the song to a slow but quick finish, then stood and walked over to October. "That was not Gavotte, but Air on G. Bach is a violinist so that you recognised him at all was impressive October." He slipped the note from her fingers and placed it on his desk for a moment, "Would you stay and listen to a song or are you needed back right away? The students have been saying i never play for them for long and never finish songs." Bell and two girls close to her started mumbling to themselves. A pair of guys and a girl watched out of the window, waiting for the class to continue and for Akira to play for them. He noticed all this but kept his eyes at Octobers politely. "You'll feel better going back with music in your mind. Also, there's a song you reminded me of that i think might suit you." He smiled properly, his teeth showing a little genuine happiness in his expression.smiling was rare for him on the school. Not many students had seen that smile.

"Oh, I suppose I can stay. She probably just wants to go over our homework." October looked for an empty seat and noticed one beside Bell. "Thank you," she said to Akira before sitting down at the desk. She gave Bella a friendly smile before refacing the front of the classroom and wanting for Akira to begin playing. Maybe I should take a music class, she thought.

Akira picked up on October's open thoughts. "Now before i play i want to mention that i'll be playing later today and also give lessons. If anyone is serious about learning something in music, or if you just want to listen, please come to the music hall. Also, Kieren, please stop biting your lip or you'll bleed and poison yourself." With that he picked up his violin, the pure white one that stood proudly on his desk, and tapped the strings with the bow. *Tink tink tink tink* Bell looked up and between Akira and October, a little confused but then smiled gently to the other girl and walked to the piano. Her dress settled on the seat and slowly they started playing...

October was blown away by their performance. It was simply amazing. However, it was nothing she could ever do. She sighed, knowing that even with lessons she was far too old to begin playing violin. There was no way she could ever become professional at it. Although, teaching it could be an opinion.
She shook her head sadly. It wasn't happening. Besides, she had a Dark Daughters' meeting that night.

§ Zoey Redbird §

Zoey awoke with a start. She had slept in! Her dark brown eyes widened and then she remembered what class she had, music. The teacher was not going to like her for this one. Zoey darted to her dresser, in search of anything half way decent to wear. Truthfully, in the end, she ended up just throwing a tee shirt and jeans on and called it a deal. On her way out, she heard Nala's soft and sleepy Merow? asking Zoey to get back in bed to keep her warm and stop making so much noise. She laughed at the tiny orange puff ball on top of her pillow.
"C'mon, Nala. We are going to be late!"
Nala let out a half hearted hiss and Zoey sighed, shutting the light of, but leaving the door open a crack. If Nala did decide to show up, she didn't want her blocked by a closed door. On the way out, she did her hair, messily trying to put it in a bun, yet the dark brown strands keep falling away from her. With a loud sigh, she made her way to music.
Once there, she tried to give the teacher an excuse, but he merely gave her a 'I'll speak with you after class' glares and nodded toward her seat. She didn't know why she took music. Zoey didn't know how to play very many instruments. The teacher had said tht he would teach her if she was willing to learn. She had chosen the piano, but her fingers still felt stiff and clumsy over the many keys. She was still stuck on the C scale, playing Hot Cross Buns or Mary Had A Little Lamb. A sigh emitted from her chest.

Akira put down his violin and Bell slipped wordlessly back to her seat. "Well now. I've played as you all requested, now settle down and take out your music copies and write the first three lines of notes i played. I will not let this opportunity go by, and you did ask for it." A few people groaned at the back of the room and his face turned a little darker, "Would you like to write and the play it back to the class? All of you?" Silence filled the room and Akira turned back to October, "Now as much as i enjoy your company October, would you please return to your class? I fear i will get an earful from your teacher's thoughts if i don't get you back there soon." He picked up the note and opened it, reading quickly.


(( by the way, what should the note say? teacher needs Akira to stand in for a class or something?? And Akira's the music teacher, so are you in a different class??))
