I can ask Quin to make food for now; she's a mother, and probably knows how. It's only 2-3 meals a day, except...when there's huge fights, if they're gone the whole day. The boy hummed and nodded as he was introduced to them. He even did a little bowing type of thing to each of them. "Captain, Sirius; nice to meet you," he said. He made a small sound when Coby was mentioned once more... "Go get Arken," he said, but not a command obviously. "Ill...go with Sirius and Nymeria," he said.

He winced then, as he heard the rosette calling to him...Of course, he didn't call back, which must raise a red flag. That or they'd think he was gagged or silenced. Which he wasn't, but he didn't know what they were thinking at this point.

The gray eyed black haired male put a hand on his husband's arm. "Coby, hold up a moment..." he muttered. He took a breath, saying "I believe the patrolman, he has no reason to lie. Well, I believe he thought Linkk was being taken. What if...what if he actually went willingly, though? What do we do then?" he asked, finally actually voicing it, his thoughts he'd kept silent.

The sweet and gentle but stubborn and hard headed at times woman smiled. She watched her lovely little baby granddaughter playing. Kodi, her black and white pup, rested against her. True, he was three, but she'd always refer to him as pup. The pretty woman with gray eyes and Greek skin tone patted him a couple times. Her straight black hair, just past the shoulders, was pulled back. It was only partly so, and she'd actually done Georgia's hair. She was also wearing a pink blouse and dark red skirt today.

She remembered this one didn't taste good...She pulled it away from her mouth, shaking her head a couple times. Her papa and daddy/mama had entrusted her to gamma (grandma). Not that she could really speak yet, or not much. The creamy skinned pink and black haired one would pronounce it gamma. Deep blue-gray eyes sparkled, hair past the shoulders pulled back partly with a ribbon.

"We bring. Him. Back." Coby's eyes narrowed. "They’ve got my protege and friend up there, and I’m not going home without him. I don’t care if he went of his own free will. The goal of any real Marine is to end piracy. I sure as hell can’t let my own protege take our training, then turn his back and betray us." Because I don’t know if I’d be able to arrest or even kill him if it came down to it. "You're either with me, or you're not, make that choice for yourself, but either way, I’m not going to nod acceptance and turn and walk away."

The rosette stepped on board, gaze scanning, finding Linkk, and the boy looked…nervous, but not at the pirates. At the mention of Coby. Coby's heart twisted into knots. "Linkk, come on, l-let’s go home. I’ve got you, okay? You’re safe now. I promise." He reached forward to brush a hand against Linkk's cheek gently. "Please. I promise it’s okay. Admiral Kurataka may give me hell for it, but I’ll make sure you’re not in trouble or anything. It’s not your fault the pirates got to you before you could make a break for it."

Buck blissfully closed his eyes at the wonderful sensation of Law's fingers running through his thick fur, he felt so at peace here, more so than he ever had in his life, he wished this moment could last forever. "I'm so glad to be back, best decision of my life..." Buck softly murmured. He could tell that Law had long since succumbed to exhaustion, but the words found their way out of his lips nonetheless. Buck was unspeakably relieved by the slow, steady breathing of his captain that signified rest, the sensation was so soothing, in fact, that Buck felt his own eyelids drooping. Buck may be significantly better at getting enough rest than his captain, but nightmares still plagued his dreams, chasing him back into restless wakefulness several times a night, so he was no saint either when it came to getting enough sleep. This fact along with the soothing safety of Law's presence eased his mind far more than he could on his own. His body sensed that this may very well be the best chance he'd get to not be rudely awoken by the demons of his past haunting his subconscious. Buck felt himself slowly slipping out of consciousness, hot on the doctor's trail to the land of dreams.

Forget twisting. Coby's heart just about stopped, his chest constricting. Linkk had never backed away from his touch before. Had never tried to distance himself. Coby was his friend as well as his trainer. Coby fought to keep himself from shaking and keep calm. Time had passed, he had a family, he was an Admiral now. He had just about everything he could ever want, right? Then why was his heart aching? "N-No?" He echoed, as if he didn’t understand the word. Had the pirates brainwashed him? Done something to him? "Linkk, it’s okay. You’re SAFE. Just take my hand. I promise it’s okay. Whatever they did to you, or said, it doesn’t matter. I’m an Admiral, and our team is built of formidable fighters. We’ve got you, nobody can hurt you while you’re under my protection," he swore.

"Yeah, but…" Karter shut his mouth. Why was he even complaining? The last thing he wanted to do was chase her away. He couldn’t go out there on his own, and he hadn’t 100% made up his mind about leaving yet. It was a headache and a half. His eyes closed, and he just breathed, in, out. In, out. Focusing on anything else. Navii's presence, the feel of the wooden table. The smell of the food. Anything else. "I’m…I'm scared, Navii. I’m scared for things to change, but I’m useless to the crew right now."

"We're…We're in the Grand Line, and deep into it at that. What’s NOT to be scared of?" Karter leaned into the welcome touch in a time of need for comfort. "I’m sorry. Before he knew it Buck awoke from the most blissful sleep he could ever remember having. Surrounded in Law’s calming scent and steady breathing Buck relished in the delicious warmth his captain seeped, usually he wasn’t a fan of warmth due to his thick coat of fur, but when it was Law’s warmth, Buck basked in it like a cozy ray of sunshine because it meant that Law was safe, and alive. Buck remained still as possible as to not stir Law from his well-needed nap, fighting the urge to stroke the doctor’s adorably messy hair.

The boy flinched a bit, but narrowed his eyes a little. He snorted as he said "You think you can scare me by mentioning her..." He shook his head, and glanced to Luc a moment. He then looked away, and glanced to Nico and the others. He wanted to say he wasn't backstabbing them; he wasn't trying to kill them. Well, not yet, not that he ever would...unless his life was in danger. "You're telling me to just abandon the person I..." He didn't say love, but Nico already knew about the crush. "If I go with you, you'll take them all away. Nico will be executed or at least locked away probably forever. What if this was you and Luc, and Luc was a pirate? Would you leave the man you love and let him be taken in?" he asked. He really didn't think so, but didn't actually say that, nor did he attack yet, though.

The sweet and gentle but stubborn and hard headed at times woman smiled. She watched her lovely little baby granddaughter playing. Kodi, her black and white pup, rested against her. True, he was three, but she'd always refer to him as pup. The pretty woman with gray eyes and Greek skin tone patted him a couple times. Her straight black hair, just past the shoulders, was pulled back. It was only partly so, and she'd actually done Georgia's hair. She was also wearing a pink blouse and dark red skirt today.

The playful family loving but loud and sometimes fussy one giggled and batted at a toy. She grabbed said toy, starting to chew on it. She remembered this one didn't taste good...She pulled it away from her mouth, shaking her head a couple times. Her papa and daddy/mama had entrusted her to gamma (grandma). Not that she could really speak yet, or not much. The creamy skinned pink and black haired one would pronounce it gamma. Deep blue-gray eyes sparkled, hair past the shoulders pulled back partly with a ribbon.

The Jaguar cub hummed a small sound of sorts, then twitched. He held the book once more, and looked around the store. He let out another breath...looking for potential customers. He hoped someone would actually come in.

It hurt. It hurt like nothing else. I should’ve stayed on Alvida's ship. None of it would’ve happened. I wouldn’t have found myself in the midst of all this drama, or dealt with this kind of pain. The next question caught Coby off guard, and guilt crashed down on him, feeling like the weight of the world. Not because he didn’t know how to answer properly, but rather, because he DID, and he didn’t have to think about it. He clenched his jaw, hands balling into fists at his sides and eyes flashing with white-hot anger.

"How DARE you? Don’t pin that situation on people who are good and loyal folk. I've been there. I-I WAS the pirate once! And later, I saw my first and only friend sail off to build a crew, leaving me behind. And if we WERE for some miraculous reason in the same situation, then…" Coby's shoulders tensed. "Yes. I would, and it would be the hardest decision I would ever, EVER make, but it wouldn’t be a matter of not loving, but it would be nothing more than a matter of loyalty. Justice comes above all else. It’s what the Marines have always stood for."
