Not that she could really speak yet, or not much. The creamy skinned pink and black haired one would pronounce it gamma. The Jaguar cub nodded up at the bigger black male. "I hope I find love like that one day...but obviously not know. I'm waaaaay too young," he said, definitely smart enough to know so. Of course, he hadn't even met any Minks his own age, not really. Maybe one or two, but none caught his eye. Not that they should, at this age anyway. He said "Yes, we'll run it for her." He then tilted his head, asking "Can we...change the name to White Panther books? She was a white Panther after all," he said. The name right now was Roaring Tiger, as the male Mink that had owned it had been a tiger, and Sulia had left the name.

She would’ve appreciated it if she could see, he knew. He missed her DESPERATELY, and sometimes he still saw that day replayed in his dreams, reminding him he’d never be free of what he’d done, but for now, all he could do was honour her memory, and take care of the child and home she had loved.

Holding Law felt so good, so safe… Every second Law was secure in Buck’s embrace was a second his captain was safe, and for a brief moment in time, everything was okay. “Thank you for allowing me to help- it makes me happy.” Buck’s tail wagged softly in confirmation of his words. “Being by your side is truly the greatest honor” holding you in my arms is the greatest comfort Buck wanted to say, but he refrained, not wanting to push it, Law was already way out of his comfort zone as is.

"So formal." Law's lips curved up into the start of a smirk. "You dumb wolf." Despite the halfhearted insult, there was warmth in the captain's tone. Buck was special in a way he couldn’t describe. He was walking towards the entrance when he saw someone running up to it. They seemed to have been running for a bit. He recognized them as someone that had been sent on patrol. He wondered how far the patrol had gotten. Since they were running, and already seemed out of breath. He patted them, saying "Catch your breath." They coughed a couple times, and nodded to him.

He then shook his head a couple times. He smiled and purred a bit, holding the book up. "This is mama's favorite book," he said to the other male. It was a book that had never been for sale, because it was Sulia's, from her cubhood. It wasn't a book like humans had, it was a Mink book (if that's allowed). His belly then growled, and he made a small sound. "I'm..kind of hungry," he admitted.

What he heard made him freeze...because there were only two pirates Linkk might go with...Navii had never tried to take her brother, though. Therefore, there was only one he could think of. He thanked the marine then ran inside. He ran to An, asking if she'd seen Coby then turned where she pointed. He ran over to Coby, stopping and panting. "Sorry to interrupt, Admirals (is Kirsten one?) but Coby...we have a problem," he said.

The Jaguar cub said "Mom read a little bit to me, actually. I've been meaning to try reading it myself, but...she said she didn't start reading it until she was eight. Also, the past two years it's just made me sad to look at it...but I just can't put it down. Pasta sounds great," he then said. Pasta was actually one of his favorites.

Buck’s heart warmed at Law’s light teasing and the subtle upward pull of his lip, he seemed far less tense now than when he first entered the galley.
