The intelligent and stealthy girl made a small sound as she looked up at him. She huffed a bit at what the boy had to say to her...She then sighed, shaking our her long black hair once more. Green eyes closed a moment as she thought, then she opened them. "Dad gave me the knife, I don't know if he got it from a shop. We also probably shouldn't just be wandering around here..." she sighed gently.

The boy made a small sound as he and dad stared at the door... He shook his head and heard mom call to him, so he came back into the shop. "What do you mean the door is open?" she asked. "The back door, the door into the baking area/our living area, it's open!"

The friendly but shy male hummed, brushing through his dark hair again. He said "Cupcakes are always good to have once in awhile." He then glanced to where the boy was still basically yelping. More like exclaiming at this point, but he looked at Coby and said "Do you think...?"

The sweet but stubborn woman hummed as she walked with her. She sighed as she saw them hurrying off near them, and tilted her head. "Shall we? Go get them, I mean, see what's wrong or whatever." She brushed through her hair after asking that, taking the hairband out of it.

"That’s why I asked if you knew anywhere we could head that might be able to sell us somethin'. A blacksmith or a marketplace or somethin' like that," Karter said. He himself wasn’t the most well-equipped in the world, but he had combat skill to add to the weapon. He had simple weapons, but he had become quite adept at using them.

"I don’t know..." Coby had no idea what Lucian's thought track was, but it didn’t matter. The situation could be nothing, or it could be something huge! Coby's eyes snapped towards where Linkk was calling. He hurried over. "Was the more closed earlier? Firmly? It’s entirely possible it just swung open with the wind." Even if that was the case, it was still their job to keep the civilians calm one way or another.

Kass narrowed her eyes. "I’m not sure. If they’re running from something, then that means there’s trouble, and I can’t speak for the girl's abilities, but Karter at the very least is fast enough to outrun any human that’s behind," she noted. It was the girl to worry about then. Karter was crafty. He always found a way out, one way or another. The girl, Kass knew almost nothing about.

His dad said "I made sure it was closed firmly, and the locks and alk are fine so it shouldn't have blown open."

"Lucian's right." Coby glanced at Lucian. "Take a parent and check the main living area, the other parent, lock down all doors.
Luffy...uh... just...hide somewhere, and keep quiet unless you’re given further orders. GOT IT?" He fixed the boy with a firm look until Luffy nodded. "Lucian, you and me, we'll check the outside area, make sure nothing is out of place, and there's nobody lurking. Copy?" He asked, looking at all the people in the room.

Karter hurried after Navii, keeping a sharp eye out for any potential threats. Not that he anticipated any trouble, but he had long since trained himself to be on guard at ALL times. Until they were on the water, he couldn’t let himself relax, until they were away from the town, the buildings, the strangers who lived in town.

"Once the doors are closed and locked, please remain calm, and wait for a signal one way or another. If things AREN'T okay, Officer Lucian and I will return and give further instruction," the captain explained, then Coby motioned to Lucian to follow him. "We'll check outside, and we'll knock on the back door when all is clear," He declared. He hoped all was well, but it was better to be safe than sorry, in his experience.

Kass nodded. Then she turned and followed Karter and Navii, giving a generous amount of space between them. After all, she wanted to make sure things were okay, that was all. She meant not to be invasive by any means.

Every passing person in the street made Karter just a little more jumpy. A couple of times, he saw Marine officers passing by them on their way to a base. That unnerved him. He didn’t know yet if he had a bounty, after all his chaos, but it didn’t do anything to lessen his restlessness.

Coby stepped outside. He had brought no weapons with him, but that was okay. If there was something going on, he was more than capable of defending himself. He knew little of Lucian's own abilities though. "Officer Lucian, take the right side, stick close to the building and look for anything that seems out of place. Call me if you see any person there, okay?"

Kass hadn’t been in town long, and so, she had no idea where the two teenagers were planning to head, but they seemed to have a set course of action now, which was a start.
