"Well...I’m not exactly coming from NOTHING. I've made a good enough life for myself." Sabo was always cautious about where to put his information. His faction wasn’t exactly secret, per se, but frowned on and opposed by...almost everyone at some point or another. This is Nyx and Ace. They’re safe. "After I was supposedly killed, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dragon, of all people, managed to save my life and recruited me. Well, I’ve climbed the ranks, and now I’m Chief of Staff, the second in command." Sabo wasn’t usually particularly prideful of his rank, but it was nice to have something to boast to his friends about for once.

Anything is better than being dead but nonetheless, you're doing your best and that's all that matters" Nyx returned, her eyes seemingly lighter as they settled on her childhood friend. "That's a good rank. I see you're doing very well. You're reliable" Nyx stated matter of factly. Her plate with left over caught her eyes. "Have you guys had anything to eat you? I'm sure the chef could whip you something up?".

Reliable. Yep. THAT was a word that could be used to describe Sabo. He tried his best, but he didn’t always succeed. He’d never quite lost ALL his carefree, youthful spirit. The blond leaned back against the wall, letting his normally-perfect posture relax just a little. "Ah, no, but you lot likely have a hard time coming by supplies as it is. I wouldn't want to impose," he told her with the ghost of a smile. "You’re probably dealing with enough extra food consumption as it with Ace's monstrous appetite."

The intelligent and stealthy girl sighed as she finished up showering. She shook her hair out, brushing through it then stopping. She dried herself and dressed, then stepped out. She was, of course, put back in the handcuffs now that she was done. She huffed a bit at that...She then let herself be led back, finding them still talking.

The boy hummed a bit, then glanced to the other male. He nodded to the other male, saying "I only really know how to make macoroni as well as grilled cheese. I can make tomato soup too. That's pretty simple though, and I feel like a kid could do it too. Anyway. I agree eating one thing too long can make you sick of it. I guess adding herbs or sauce would make it taste different enough to make you want to eat it again."

The orange haired young woman hummed a bit, then shook her head. She flipped the fish, and cooked it a bit more. She was putting it onto the platter to put the sauce on when Luffy rushed in. "L-Luffy! Ah, no, I was doing this for myself, practicing I guess."

The sweet and gentle but sometimes shy and nervous male adjusted his glasses. He was reading something at the moment. He tugged on one of the fingerless gloves, then touched his diamond choker. The green eyed male then shook his head. The thing he was reading was a letter from his mom. His parents and sister, Maddie, were sailing somewhere. They'd sent him a letter, and some of it was in French Canadian and some in Irish Gaelic. Oh, right, he's wearing blue today. Anyhow, the handsome but pretty male put down the letter. He brushed through shoulder length reddish brown hair, then went to open the toy shop. He loved toys, as well as swimming. It had only seemed natural to become a toy maker/seller.

"Oh it’s lonely sometimes, but I've had a couple friends to keep me sane, and being trained under Dragon has certainly kept me busy." Sabo inclined his head. "Certainly, there've been some...complications, but I don’t have much time to worry about being lonely. The Revolutionary Army doesn’t rest, you know. Planning to take down a government and all the factions associated with it isn’t exactly a walk in the park." His gaze flicked between them, where Ace was mostly zoned out, still trying to process. "Ah... pirates don’t always get along with my alliance, but I hope I can continue to be a friend nonetheless." He couldn’t imagine NOT being a friend to Ace and Nyx. People he had grown up with.
