The boy smiled at the dog then at the older boy, and nodded. "Yeah, he's the...captain I'm pretty sure," he told Nico. "Yuli seems to like you," he said, when he heard the dog whine happily. He saw the dog was also wagging his tail a bit.

Luka looked out of the ship’s side. He vividly remembered the details of the attack on the Calm Belt Pirates from the Marines. Three of his crewmate’s captured and many injured, but it seemed so nice to see the two kids running around on the ship. It made the air feel more... calmer and childish. He sighed and rested his head on the railing of the ship. He watched the waves gently crash into the boat and he watched the water as it moved. He looked around hoping to find someone to talk to get the weird felling off his chest. He best go make sure Sasha is ok. He had been quite fond of the cat since Navii wasn’t there to take care of it. It gave him a purpose and something to do when the day seemed to drag on. He ran a hand through his long dark brown and streaked blue hair and he continued to look out into the water. He looked for the cat and saw her curled up. He walked over and sat down next to the cat. He stroked her and said softly, “Your a sleepy kitty huh.”

Kaden looked around and said nervously, “There’s so many people here. What if they all come over and crowd me?” Kory said looking down to his companion, “They won’t trust me Kade. There all minding there own business and as long as we don’t cause a ruckus, I’m sure we’ll be fine.” Kaden nodded and began to eat his meal slowly. He despised eating breakfast and lunch, but he was already so underweight that Kory would have his hide if he didn’t eat. Kory was the type of person that could be on a football team and be an unstoppable wall. Kaden thought of himself as the nerdy wimp that liked to read and act. Kaden nibbled on his egg and set it down giving it a glare. Glaring at an egg, that was wonderful. Kory ate his egg and said, “I’ll take your egg since I know you hate eggs.” Kaden blinked at him gratefully and shoveled his egg to his friend’s plate. He nibbled on his toast, the best part of this meal. Kaden adored toast like how Kory adored eggs. Kaden could eat toast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Kory put his toast on Kaden’s plate and said, “Toast for you my guy. I know you love toast and you gave me your egg and so I give you toast.” Kaden laughed and said, “Thanks.” Kory slipped a bit of his fruit apple to the pups and said, “I think the pups love the fruit salad.” Kaden smiled and said, “There the vacuum cleaners of our plates so they’ll eat everything and anything.” Kory laughed and said, “Yes you are correct my friend.” Kaden smiled from ear to ear. It felt good to hear his friend’s gruff and hearty laugh. It fit him so well unlike his raspy laugh. Kaden leaned on Kory’s shoulder and continued to nibble on his toast.

I’m pretty sure Linkk or Lucian will get it since they caught three Calm Belt pirates and besides, Lucian and Coby are engaged anyway so I’m expecting Lucian will get the promotion. There is a sliver of hope in me that it could be me, but I think it'll be one of them. I’d be happy since either of them deserve that promotion. Now what would get me annoyed would be if someone gets the promotion that doesn’t do anything productive. They wouldn’t deserve it to get a promotion then. Either way I agree with you it is an interesting time and exciting.”

The chance of anyone he knew besting their current Fleet Admiral, Sakazuki, for the position in a battle rather than taking the longshot of climbing the ranks...no. No, it was IMPOSSIBLE. No one could beat that man. "Not Linkk, I’m sure. He’d have to complete his training first, and I think it’d be up to either the council of Admirals or Coby, who would present it to said Admirals, for when Linkk can advance to the next step up. Lucian..." he frowned. Which one was Lucian? He didn’t think they had formally met yet, but if he was the Captain's fiancé and Coby had been in charge of the mission... "You think Lucian will get a promotion because of inside influence? With all due respect, that’s a DISGUSTING idea. People should earn their way up through their own merits, not who they associate with."

"Then...you willing to be taking a look at what plans might look like for us?" Coby asked hopefully, and perhaps a bit awkwardly. He hadn’t expected to find himself in this kind of position so soon, but he certainly wasn’t about to COMPLAIN about it. Not when he was so happy. There would be some lighter, more fun things to talk about when they had their conversation, and some more serious things too. Whether it was today, tomorrow, or weeks from now, eventually they would have to look at what they both envisioned. The key to ANY healthy relationship was communication after all, and they’d been pretty good about it so far. He didn’t want to slip up.

"You could probably still do patrol, but with so many Marines gathered in one place, I always assumed patrol work would go to the lower-grade Marines. Petty Officers and Seamen and all. Patrols were pretty boring anyway, even for a relative introvert such as himself, and uneventful unless something went SERIOUSLY wrong. Most pirates didn’t exactly want to find themselves anywhere CLOSE to headquarters, where there were so many enemies.
