"Please do. I'm right behind you" Buck follows Ace closely with a bag full of medical supplies, noting that the cocky pirate didn't seem to fear him, despite his size and brutish appearance. "Nyx don't worry about that, things happen. I'll give you a more in-depth check-up once pretty boy here sets you down, but it looks like you just cracked a rib, which always feels a lot worse than it is. The fact that you're breathing, let alone talking doesn't leave me too concerned."

Ace suppressed an annoyed look at the 'nickname', but just followed Micah inside. He noted the wary look on the girl's face as she instructed him to lay Nyx down, but she didn’t openly question him. She looked at him almost with recognition though. Of course. I’m one of Whitebeard's high ranking crewmen, and a Devilfruit user. I’ll have made a name for myself. He carefully lay Nyx down, easing her onto the bed, trying his best not to put any pressure into her abdomen, lest injure her ribs even more.

Nyx

Nyx did realize that she had gone unconscious until she was slightly jolted away, her head still resting against Ace's chest. "I'll try to" she replied, her voice noticeably more quiet then when the adrenaline had been keeping her awake. "It hurts to breath" she replied to Buck weakly, trying to not let her eyes grow too wide. Her voice broke slightly which only embarrassed herself more so she went silent, fatigue setting in. She sighed slightly as she was placed on the bed. She reached out weakly to Ace, grabbing his hand. "I know you" she whispered before her hand fell.

Alarm flashed through Ace at her words. "What do you mean? You...know me?" Everyone knows me. The Marines want me pretty bad. Wanted posters are probably all over, but...I don’t think that’s what she means. He clasped her hand when she reached out to him. "I’ll stay until you’re better or your crewmates kick me out, so just...breathe, okay?"

Nyx

Her eyes darted to Buck, sorrowful towards the situation she had put them in. Nyx couldn't reply, pain taking her breath away for a few moments. She was too drowsy and so forgetting that she needed to stay awake was easy and she closed her eyes again. "Ok" she whispered, her eyes still closed. "From school..." she whispered before blacking out.

The intelligent and stealthy girl hummed as she watched her friend. She looked around a moment, then smiled as she nodded to him. "It's small but it does its job," she told him. She then giggled a bit.

The boy hummed as he stood beside his father, whom was making some cupcakes. He was waiting for his turn with them. What is meant by that is that he gets to decorate them and such. He huffed as he heard the shop door open and shut, thinking she must have left.

The friendly but shy male hummed, brushing through his dark hair again. He checked the file again, and nodded his head a bit. "Karter Zael was born and raised in Loguetown for awhile. He's fifteen, I believe it said, and Leila Shiro it said Is eighteen now."

The sweet but stubborn female smiled. Shaking her golden brown head, she hummed. She blinked brown eyes. She hummed as she looked up at the mention of breakfast. "Pancakes!" she yelped happily, because she happened to love pancakes, as well as waffles and toast and stuff.

Buck grumbles a "thank you" to Ace and quickly gets to work by checking Nyx's breathing with a stethoscope to determine that there's not too much remaining liquid in her lungs, once he's satisfied that neither lung has collapsed or been damaged and is relatively free of liquid he retrieves a bottle of heavy painkillers. Giving Nyx a stern but gentle look "It's just a fracture, your lungs are healthy, but it won't feel pleasant for a few weeks so I'll give you some painkillers. Now, if I give you the good stuff you'll have to promise to take deep breaths at all times and not to move around too much. If you don't take deep breaths you'll end up with pneumonia."

From school. Ace had only been able to go to school for a couple months before he’d ended up getting himself kicked out, but he’d made a couple kind-of friends, had some good times back then. The young man smiled from the corner of his lip. "I see..." His voice trailed off as he tried to remember.

"Yeah," Karter agreed. Then there was a commotion off towards the entrance to the boat. Alarm shot through him as he saw Buck step on deck again, followed by Nyx, being carried by a man Karter could’ve sworn he’d seen somewhere, but could not put a name to a face. That man was older than many of them, and certainly not part of their crew. "Hey, have you seen that guy around? The guy with Nyx."

Nyx slowly opened one eyes to look over at Buck. She weakly nodded. "Ok, I promise I will be more careful this time and take deep breaths" she agreed to the Cooks words. Her whole side hurt when she breathed, but the painkillers would help make breathing easier. "How am I going to complete my duties?" she fretted. She turned to Ace, shooting him a hesitant look. "You don't remember?" she asked.

"I’m sorry..." Ace racked his brain, trying to remember. A face. Younger. It had been YEARS. He caught her eye for a moment. How had he not recognized the name? "I remember...pieces. Maybe we can talk more about that once you’re stable, okay?" He held his hand out to her. He didn’t know if it would help, but she’d seemed more at ease with touch.
