Come ON! After that, Ace's mind blanked out. Something was grabbing her. If it wasn’t underwater, he would’ve just torched it, but that would’ve been dangerous, AND it was in fact underwater. He slowly stepped back, grasping Nyx's hand tightly, trying to pull her out. "Come ON! Hit it!" He insisted. If she could dislodge it, then he could safely pull her out.

Nyx

How in the world was she meant to hit it with as much force as she could when her energy was quickly fleeting. She screamed in pain as she lifted up her leg and stomped what she hoped was its eye. She went limp as the creature let go, its own pained cry rippling through the water. She knew it would come back, angry now.

As soon as he felt the added pressure of the creature dragging Nyx down release, Ace stepped back quickly, pulling Nyx up, grasping her by the arms for better grip. "Oh my god..."

Nyx

So much water had quickly ended up in Nyx's lungs, and combined with that and a potentially cracked rib, she could hardly breath. Meanwhile, the squid was slinking around bellow the surface, ready at any moment to attack again.

"Hey hey hey! Talk to me!" Ace insisted. She didn’t look in such great shape though. He took a shaky breath. He didn’t know much about this woman, but obviously he didn’t want to stand by and watch someone die. He glared at the sea monster and wrapped his arms around the young woman's waist, pulling her away from the dock and to the shore safely. "Say something!"

Nyx

Nyx winced when she felt arms shifting her waste and she jumped slightly but calmed down when she realized that it was Ace. "I'm so tired" she wheezed, closing her eyes for a moment.

"What the hell just happened?" Ace eyed the dock, scowling at it until they were far enough away that he felt secure again. He kept his arms firmly around her. No wonder she was so drained. "Okay okay... just...stay awake, okay? Don’t pass out on me or I’ll have no way to help you. Let’s just... figure this out. Do you have a doctor on board?"

Buck had been anxiously awaiting everyone's arrival for breakfast and stepped out to make sure that Nyx had heard his earlier announcement when he witnessed her get dragged underwater. Buck quickly races over to make sure she's okay, his ears pinned back with worry and panic and eyes darting between Nyx, the rippling water, and Ace. "Nyx!! Are you okay?" his voice is panicked and shaky as he checks her over for injuries. His icy glare eventually lands on Ace and his muzzle contorts into a threatening snarl "I don't care who you are, go get help. Now!"

OOC: I have no idea if I was allowed to step in or not, but I felt bad for being inactive, so I apologize if I intruded on anything you guys had planned! If so just ignore me. ;v;

Nyx

Nyx groaned in pain her head resting on Ace's chest as she coughed up water and fought the urge to pass out. Buck came into Nyx's blurred vision and she tried tp croak something out, but she coughed up more water. "It's coming back... again" she forced out, her breath rasping.

"Trust me, if I could, I would! I don’t know where any doctors are!" He insisted. He didn’t flinch under the harsh glare though. "I...I don’t know what happened, some squid thingy!" He glanced at Nyx. "What do you need?" The doctor for his crew had hurried off right away after they’d docked. It wasn’t safe for him to publicly show his face searching for help, so what now? He freed one hand to light a gentle flame, hoping that could at least help warm the young woman up. He shook his head. "No no, it’s not coming back, Nyx. It’s okay. We're far enough away from the edge."
