Flyer pulled his talons in and dived. He hit the back of her spotted coat and rolled off, shakeing with laghter.

Runner pounced, claws in, onto Flyers stomach. She sat there, purring and laughing.

Flyer nibbled at her right paw, gently, feinting ferocines and trying not to hurt her with his razor sharp beak.

She leaped clear of him, straight into the air to show off her jumping skills. In midair she changed into a barn owl, landing on the ground with a feathery thump.

He tackled her, his snow-white feathers plumped.

She rolled over, trying to get away but laughing so hard that she was having trouble moving.

Flyer layed his wing over her, took a deep breath and looked into her golden eyes, tranfixed...

Runner stared back into Flyer's eyes, feeling the peace that had come when he had rescued her in her nightmare......
All of a sudden, she noticed something in the background. She flew over, gesturing for him to join her. The pool was smaller than it had been the day before! only a little bit smaller, but still..

Flyer shook his head sadly and poked at the water. He sent a feeling of knowing and urgancy to her.

Runner sniffed the water, and recoiled swiftly. It smelled of death! Water should never smell as death does! ((oh yeah, if I start getting all weird and poetic and stuff, just know we're reading Shakespeare in literature studies))
