Ronny didn't look up when his 'girlfriend', Gleam, entered the room. He didn't care. Just like all other humans, she was just a distraction to take him away from his phone. The only reason they were dating was because it was the popular thing; neither of them even liked each other. It was totally fake. Ronny was way more interested in finishing his Fruit Ninja game than dealing with her.
"How does it feel?" Gleam hissed bitterly, sitting down on the couch. "Both of your tributes died in the bloodbath again."
"i don't care."
"23rd and 24th place, first two deaths of the games. No one is surprised, you know. You're pathetic as a mentor."
"ok."
"I bet you don't even remember their names. It's hilarious, seeing how low human nature can sink. The Hunger Games are just one example of how depraved the human species is. Children are dying and you don't even care. You'd rather stare at your phone."
"lol." He literally said 'lol' verbally.
"How are you a mentor, you lazy lowlife? Do you even watch the Hunger Games?" Gleam spat the words at him. She did this stuff a lot, he just didn't care to acknowledge her. It was boring to deal with her silly drama.
"i don't know."
"That's it. You at least have to watch Demitra murder those disgusting Careers."
"ok." Ronny's neutral expression shifted into a faint frown as he lost the Fruit Ninja round. Bummer. Gleam was distracting him, so he went into his room and locked the door. Demitra's mutts wouldn't arrive just yet, the journey would take a while. Probably they'd reach the Careers' camp a short time after Gloria's death. He'd just procrastinate until then.
