Madeline couldnât have been more grateful for Chaskaâs work. They no longer had to deal with that pathetic mutt. She wondered how long it would take for the rest of their little âguestsâ to be dealt with. She hoped that little parasite was next, it seemed like all he did was cry and complain.
Jay Fernandez//District 11//Male//Tagged; Sienna and Eden
âSienna?â Jayâs voice fell on deaf ears as Sienna had walked off over to Moses. He didnât want to be alone with the scary Career, even if Sienna had promised that sheâd come back soon enough, but he also didnât want to upset Sienna by complaining about it. He didnât understand what was going on. He didnât understand anything. He was just so confused and worried. This brutal game didnât do anything but worry him. He worried about everything. Every little thing caused him to panic.
What was wrong with Moses? Why did they need to go on a walk? Was Moses going to be okay? More and more questions built up in his mind, but to no avail, no answers came with them.
When Sienna finally joined them, they began to walk, Jay walked next to her, not wanting to be too near to Eden. He might seem nice but Jay didnât trust him. He had seen too many of the previous Hunger Games with all the other scary Careers. He didnât want to risk anything.
They had begun talking with each other, their conversation only made Jay even more confused. What were they talking about? What did Eden mean by âgood handsâ? It scared him. It terrified him. He was afraid of the thoughts that ran rampant in his mind when he heard those words. He was afraid that returning to camp would mean returning to another corpse. He was afraid he would see his allyâs lifeless body. He had already experienced Reikaâs death, he didnât want to experience another one.
Jay felt his heart skip a beat. In the distance, he heard the last thing he wanted to hear right now. A cannon. This couldnât be happening. It had to be someone else⊠Right? Siennaâs response only confirmed what he feared, yet he refused to believe it.
âSienna? Sienna? Whatâs going on?â He felt as if his desperate pleas for answers would only do him harm, yet he continued.
âSienna? Sienna, why are you crying? Please donât cryâŠâ He began to tear up. This couldnât be happening, not again.
âSienna, please⊠Sienna Iâm scared...Please..â
(Sorry if this is a bit wonky. I wrote this in between one of my classes.)
