Eden made a comment on not wanting to feed them anything gross and Caspia grinned. "I'm from District 4, so as long as they're cooked they'll taste like home." He then went and retrieved Madeline's knife, which Caspia took from his ginger grip. He didn't seem particularly excited at the idea of gutting a fish, but she was more than familiar with the task.
"That should work." She agreed to the suggestion of using weapons as roasting sticks. "Anything that lets us hold them over the fire without burning ourselves. This shouldn't take too long!"
She grabbed one of the fish, and using the knife Eden had retrieved began to gut it. "You wanna get all the scales off, slit it open and then pull all the gross stuff out." She explained the basics. If she didn't survive to the final big Career fight she didn't want her allies starving, although Killick would be fine and Eden didn't look like he particularly wanted the knowledge so her words were mainly for Chaska's benefit.

Felix Prestman | District 12 | Location: Heading West | Tags: Penny
Felix watched as Penny clambered to a comfy position and then carefully sliced off a small section of his jacket with the cooking knife. He dipped it in the stream to soak up water and then sat cross-legged on the rock in front of Penny so that their faces were level. She was smiling shyly at him and he felt his heart stutter just a little as he looked into her pretty eyes, dark as a moonless night. Quickly, he shook himself out of the thought as he cupped her face carefully with one hand and began to wipe gently at her scraped cheek with the other. He worked deftly and silently until the wound looked clean.
"There. All done." He spoke softly as he dropped both his hands to his lap.
